"Yes, she is upstairs. I have alerted them to your arrival. And John, I may have no power over you personally. But don't forget that I am King of Louisiana and Jessica is my progeny. She will be staying with me until i see fit that she is able enough to leave. And if you plan to make regular visits, they are to be only when I am here. With Jessica as she is, i shall refrain from leaving the premises. And as for Stackhouse, have him delivered here as soon as possible"
Quinn nodded and stood.
"I do understand the position you hold, and I am actually happy to have her stay here until the matter is resolved. Any visits will be planned well in advance. You will have the information you requested before dawn, on the store I mentioned. As for delivering Stackhouse, if he is the one who has these weapons, I think it might be best for my people to deal with him first, for Your Majesty's safety of course. After that, I assure you that he will be handed off to your gate guards...with a nice little bow on him. A gift for your Majesty..."
Quinn had to chuckle a bit at his own joke. He turned and walked out of the office, following Jessica's scent to the room. Her guards cautioned him to be brief. He only looked in, seeing her resting. He left a brief message that he stopped by with one of them and headed toward the door. He had a lot to do, and needed to move fast before Compton found out that he had Stackhouse.
