Bill had left the mansion suddenly, knowing that he had upset Kiara by his sudden leave. But with the memory of his sister Judith weighing heavily in his mind, he had to leave, not wishing to burden her with his past that he sometimes wished would remain there. His feet carried him as fast as he could run, the trees brushing past him as he continued to run, leaving everything behind. He had not seen Judith in many years since they departed in August 1964 and he had not felt a thing from him in all those years they were not together. He had tried to find her several years ago, but like their Maker, she was difficult to trace.
He often felt guilty on how they had parted terms and wished that they could reconcile their sibling bond, he knew that she would be curious about Kiara, and of course Jessica and how he had ascended to the King of Louisiana. His feet halted him at the base of a small stream, he had not been paying attention to where his feet had taken him, but the need to escape had shot through him. A vampire's sadness could start of as sadness and end up as despair, Bill felt himself on the brink of both so he had vacated.
The night was cool, a gentle breeze washed over him as he collapsed to the ground and lay on his back, his eyes gazing to the heavens, the moon was bright in the sky, cloaking it in a sheer of illuminating glory. Perhaps somewhere in the world, his sister Judith was doing the exact same thing. He gazed upon the night sky, and thought of Judith, where was she? What was she doing? Had she thought about him like he did her? What he would give to see his sister again. He closed his eyes and let the silence of the night come upon him as he thought of Judith.
~Flashback - Arkansas April 13th 1903~
It had been one year, one blissfully eternal year that Judith had stood by William Compton's side. After his infatuation with her as a human, Lorena had taken it upon herself to take her, rip her from her humanity and mortality like she had done to him. Cruelly snatching her from her human husband and off spring, damming her to a life of eternal misery that she had forced upon him once upon a time.
Lorena had commanded that he and Judith remain in Arkansas whilst she travel to another small remote town to acquire accommodations for them and ordered them to remain in their current residence. William hated that if it were not for the Maker/progeny bond between them, he would have taken Judith away from Lorena so that they could live their lives together in peace, without the intrusion of Lorena.
The sun had finally set beyond the clouds, awakening William to a cooling breeze that flushed over his corpse like skin, his body jolted to life, his inner spark igniting him to begin the night ahead of him. He kicked open his crooked wooden cargo box that he had found a few nights ago. Finding it more comfortable that the cellar floor in an abandoned tavern that they had taken shelter in.
He quickly scanned and found the other large cargo wooden box that he had found for Judith, he could hear her stirring for night, he climbed out of his box and strode across to Judith's and cracked open the lid, her eyes still closed, but he could sense that she was awake.
"It is quite rude to keep a gentleman waiting Judith" he smirked.
