Finally!

Brianna had been waiting longer than what Bill had told her, last night was when they were supposed to meet. But of course he had to re-schedule...again. Brianna was getting really sick of this, it was as though he didn't want to know her at all. He turned her, the least he could do was give her five minutes of his time.

But of course no, he was always busy with something. Being the progeny of the King sucks! Bill still hadn't told her anything about who he really was, or who his Maker was. Nothing! She felt like she was being a spoiled child, but didn't know anything about what she was. Jessica wasn't a great help either, and Willa's Maker was dead.

But this time she wasn't going to let him push her aside again, not this time. She stormed from her room on the first floor down the stairs, listening out for Bill. Targeting him to his office as she knocked several times, and before he called her in. She stormed in and closed the door behind her as she sat on the chair opposite his desk.

"Whenever your ready Bill...I can wait, I got a lot of time. Thanks to you" she smirked sarcastically.

A night off. That was all Bill wanted right now, free from anything that had been dumped on his already full plate. But that was going to be impossible for now, he already had regrets about taking on this position as King again. But without any of the Vampire Authority still remaining, it looked as though he did not have much of a choice. He was stuck in the job for the rest eternity, but that was the downside of this job.

He had not yet visited Kiara, not knowing how she was going to react about him drugging her, when he promised not to hurt her.

But he was left with no choice.

As drained his glass of blood and slid the glass onto the table, preparing for a semi free evening, only to be interrupted by Brianna barging into his office and sinking into one of the chairs opposite his desk.

"I apologize Brianna, seems things have been getting rather hectic around here lately. What can I do for you?" he quizzed.

Brianna slumped further into her chair, she always found it difficult being really mad with Bill, even though he deserved it, she couldn't find it in herself to stay mad at him.

"Its fine...It's just very lonely being in my room all the time. Willa has gone out again, and Jessica is no where to be found, again. And your always busy, and i don't have anyone to talk to cause you won't let me out of this house" she sighed softly.

She really wanted to go to that place where Jessica had taken her, Merlotte's or whatever it was called. There was some really nice people there, and a chance to get fresh blood.

"I apologize Brianna, but your still a very young vampire. You do not know how to protect yourself in an event of an attack. So until I feel that you are ready, you will stay inside at all times. And when you are ready, you will be free to leave the premises" he promised.

Brianna was barely a few months old, unlike Jessica who had learned everything herself through vigorous training during the time when Sookie was gone. He had put all his time and effort in training her. But she had surprised him in learning very quickly.

She groaned as she sunk further into her chair, her hair falling around her shoulders as started sulking like a small child.

"How will I ever be ready if you don't teach me? I have so many questions and your always busy that you don't tell me anything!" she snapped.

She was getting really sick of this, locked away in a tower away from everything on the outside.

Questions?

Bill leaned forward on his desk, what questions could she have for him that she needed to know about. He assumed that Jessica had answered any and presumably all questions that she had.

"Well, lets start with the questions. Then we can go from there Brianna" he smirked.

Sitting himself comfortably in his chair, this was something new for him. But it was the job of being a Maker; teaching your progeny.

Her mind suddenly went blank. Why didn't she write them all down, it would have been so much easier for her.

"Um.....Alright. Why does a vampire cry blood? Who is Eric Northman? And what is a Sheriff? Who was your Maker? Are they still alive? Are you an orphan? Do you have any other family? And who is Sookie Stackhouse?" she blurted out.

She felt embarrassed now, when she was nervous she had a tendency to ramble on about anything and everything.

"Sorry" she sulked.

"Um.....Alright. Why does a vampire cry blood? Who is Eric Northman? And what is a Sheriff? Who was your Maker? Are they still alive? Are you an orphan? Do you have any other family? And who is Sookie Stackhouse?"

He couldn't but help fight back a chuckle as he tried to re-compose himself after her line of questioning, but it was not to be expected.

"I am not to sure as to why we cry blood, i believe that it is part of the magic that animates us, allows us to live. But other than that, I do not know....And as for Eric Northman, he is a far older vampire that I, over a 1000 years old. But recently he met the True Death, leaving his newest progeny Willa Burrell behind. So she is temporary under my care for now..." he ended.

"Magic? For real?...Wow holy shit! Sorry...Magic, I never thought that...But what about your Maker? Is she still alive? Can I meet her someday?" she questioned further.

She just wanted to know everything about Bill, well from Bill. There was so much that she wanted to know, but she didn't know how far she could push him for information. That was something that she learned from Jessica.

"Unfortunately she is no longer living, she met the True Death by Miss Stackhouse, along time ago. Before I made you, at that time she was my fiance, but she is with another. And I was with Kiara, but she no longer lives" he whispered.

Without knowing it a single red tear trickled down his cheek as he quickly wiped it away, without him knowing or truly believing; a part of the Kiara that he loved was gone. The Kiara that he loved all that time ago, the nights that they spent wrapped up in each other forgetting everything was gone. Leaving nothing but an empty shell behind of the woman that he loved.

"Could we continue another night Brianna? Tonight is really not a good night"

Brianna frowned as she saw Bill crying, she had never seen him cry. Standing from her chair as she moved around uncomfortably.

"Sure, I guess...I didn't mean to upset you Bill" she whispered.

She headed towards the door, lingering for a moment, unsure of what to even say to him.

"She sounds like she was a great person. I would have loved to have met her" she whispered before she took her leave.

Bill did not respond; he could not find it in himself to say anything. He sunk further into his chair as he tried to go over everything in his mind.

Kiara.

He found it easier to lie about Kiara's whereabouts far easier than he should of. Lying that she was dead, when in fact she was alive. Locked away so no one could touch her; no one could harm her.

She was safe.

But why did he find it so difficult to keep himself together?

Was he preparing himself for a downfall that he could not save Kiara from?
