Settling In

Kiara was now gone.

Bill was already beginning to find himself a little on edge with not having her around. He knew that time would soon pass by when he let himself be taken oven by his work. He was a little surprised that he had not heard of any movements in Texas and especially from Isabel which he did not like. Over the years she had become more devious and he suspected that Stan had something to do with it and suspected that was why Godric chose her as his successor. Although he did know Isabel as well as he believed that he did, his one link to Texas was gone, in the shape and form of Eric Northman. The one vampire he believed could help him on this was dead. But he could not dwell on that fact right now, he had to keep his attention focused on other matters. As he diverted another call from a small group who were once members of the large faction in Texas - The Fellowship of the Sun.

Some who believed that he was the reason that Steve Newlin came to an early downfall as did his father Reverend Newlin and his wife and young child. He knew that it was because he had wrote briefly about the once Fellowship of The Sun in his book and they did not wish to be attached to anything written by a vampire. Having already received several letters of hate from humans about how he had spent his first young years as a vampire. But there was nothing that he could do to change what he did, it was part of him now.

He glanced from his documents to the vampire sitting in front of him - his new assistant Roxanne who worked through his schedule to accommodate several functions that he would need to attend, including a possible visit from the Queen of Spain if she had her way.

"I apologize if my schedule seems a little dis-organized...I am not one for keeping it in order" he smirked a little as he gazed at Roxanne.

Roxanne had not realized how boring and dull this job was going to actually be, she should have believed Isabel more when she had said how boring Compton actually was. But now she was stuck in this dead end job for however long it took to seduce the King. She knew that she could not just jump straight into her plan, she did not want to risk being caught out and disappointing Isabel. She had to take things very easy and play it safe until she found the right time and the right moment to pounce. But if every night was going to be like this, then she had to start acting fast.

"It is not a problem your Majesty. It is all part of the job" she grinned.

Bill shook his head in disbelief as he knew that she was lying and she was at least hiding it well enough. He had to give her credit for that. He glanced at the speaker phone on his desk as it flashed in unison of red lights and he knew who that was. More anonymous calls from vampire hating humans.

He was glad that Roxanne knew how to bar calls from certain numbers that had been calling frequently, although some had come through on a different numbers Roxanne helped block them again. He knew that in time it would all die down so for now he would put up with it, with the guards already at their maximum level there was nothing much else that he could do.

Hearing his computer signal that he had an email but he dismissed it for now not wanting to read another hate mail message. He did wonder how they had been able to obtain his personal contact information but would need to wait he had full confirmation about how they had done. Opening the email as it was not one that he suspected.

Bill instantly began typing back his response -

Arabella,
I am glad to hear that Brianna has taken it upon herself to learn wisely under your watchful eye. I shall be making an unscheduled visit in the next coming days as I would like to see the training for myself. Alert Quinn and Brianna of my arrival if you must, but I shall wish to speak with my progeny alone. I look forward to seeing your training in hand.

William Compton

Hitting send as the email was sent, it had been sometime since he had spoken with Brianna and with Kiara safely away with Sophie he could regain some focus on things.

"What day this week do I have clear Roxanne?" he questioned her.

Roxanne had been clearing Compton's evenings for the next few coming days, it would give her plenty of time to focus all of her attentions on him alone. She had promised Isabel that she would not contact her again until she believed that she was making progress. She did not know exactly how long she had until the were returned but she was going to make what use of the time that she had until then. She would have the King eating out of the palm of her hand. Her plan had already began to work as she remembered the way that he looked at her when she entered his office. Her tongue practically hanging out of his mouth like a begging animal.

"I have cleared your schedule for the next few days your Majesty just like you asked" she told Compton.

"Good. I shall be making a visit to a friend of mine to discuss my progeny's teaching. I require that you attend with me so that you can meet with Brianna and her teachers. As I shall need you to liaison with them whilst I work" he told Roxanne.

With the extra guards station around the estate and Jessica and her new male friend James with her. He could trust that James would keep her safe and would be alerted if anything happened. He would make sure that he was not far from those who needed him.

Brianna? The King's progeny? But they were dead? Isabel had told her that both of the King's progeny's had met the True Death by the Tiger John Quinn and that their fangs were now in Isabel's possession. She could not help but smirk at this little discovery, this would surely get Isabel's attention and would mean she would be rewarded in ways she could never imagine.

"Of course your Majesty. Anything for the great King of Louisiana" she smirked.

She would go with Compton to this meeting, she would get whatever information out of this as she could. Maybe even have a little fun with this Tiger that Isabel spoke so highly off.

Perhaps Louisiana was not going to be as bad as she thought it was going to be.
