Pilling it on

Kiara made a few quick calls to England first. King William was most pleased in seeing Roxanne be killed. She didn’t mind, he had paid handsomely for the video. Whatever tickled his fancy…. He was providing her an invaluable service that would go into effect real soon so killing Roxanne and taping it was a small price to pay.

She watched as she got the transfer of money, Euros…nice… with the exchange it was plenty of money. She placed most of it in a special account she’d started for Sophie, for her future education and what not. The rest went into her business. She needed all the money she could to keep up with orders. Not many people wanted to be donors and getting the technology to synthesize blood on her own was a pain in the ass.

Once things were semi-settled and she’d changed clothes so she didn’t smell like dead Roxanne and Quinn she went down to Bill’s office. She strode carefully with her bare feet as the guards were walking around all in high alert. Sounded like something had happened between Bill and Brianna by the rumors going around. She'd have to make sure the new guards weren't so gossipy.



She knocked twice, knowing that Bill was probably in no mood to talk to anyone, even her. She needed to tell him about Quinn.

She opened the door and peeked her head in. “Bill? Mind if we talk?” she asked softly, wanting to gauge his mood before going in.

After his talk with Jessica, a talk that was much needed after he had neglected his duties not only as a Maker but a father figure to her. But now she was all grown up and that hurt Bill, that he had missed so much of her immortal life. But he had made a plan to make sure that he spent equal time with those around him.

Bill hoped that once Jessica had spoken with Brianna then things would go back to normal. He wanted a united front for when Arabella arrived. He did not trust her as he once had and did not want any information being leaked back to Quinn.

That was the last thing that he wanted right now, or ever.

“Bill? Mind if we talk?”

Bill raised his head from his desk as he signalled her in and plastered on a semi-hopeful smirk on his face.

"Sure. What can I do for you sweetheart?" he asked curiously.

She walked into the office and closed the door. The first thing she did was look at this desk which sadly had lots of little trinkets he could throw and break in anger. There wasn't enough time, nor any good excuse she could use to get those away from him.

"Um... well I'm going to assume Brianna is here in the mansion" she began as she looked around, keeping her hands behind her.

"I think you should know... if it wasn't obvious... but Quinn and Brianna have been sleeping together" she said in the softest, most nicest tone possible.

And that was all the confirmation that he needed. Bill did have his suspicions but nothing concrete to prove it. But he knew that Kiara would not lie to him, not about this.

"How did you come about this information?" he quizzed her calmly.

After his talk with Jessica he had made himself a promise that he would take his progeny's feeling's into consideration. But this was something he wished to be true, Quinn had gotten his claws into an innocent young girl - his progeny....again.

Kiara shrugged casually. "Quinn delivered Roxanne to us a few hours ago. I took it upon myself to grab some more information from her before I granted her the true death" she said casually as she leaned against a wall.

She was surprised that Bill wasn't fuming and throwing things on the wall. She wasn't sure if she liked this slow and simmer Bill anymore.

"I don't think she lied, as it was just something more to weaken you in her eyes"

Bill was taken back when Kiara spoke of giving Roxanne the True Death, one without his permission and two that she had taken it upon herself to do his bidding.

"I see...Well she is someone that we do not need to worry about any longer. Do you believe that any information that she gathered was sent to Isabel?" he quizzed her.

If Kiara had gotten any information out of Roxanne, he needed to know.

Kiara thought about what Roxanne had said.

"She said theres someone much closer to home that you need to fear. That Isabel is gunning for your loyalty and pride as well" she said softly as she approached the desk.

"But as far as I could tell she hadn't reported anything of importance to Isabel. If it matters, she mentioned that Quinn had slept with Isabel as well"

That did not surprise Bill at all, that Quinn had slept with Isabel. It seemed as though the Tiger could not keep it in his pants long enough to know a woman's name. But it irritated him to know that he had gotten to Brianna.

"Isabel always wants something and she normally gets it....She was Godric's most trusted companion, but she wanted his position and eventually she would have done something to get it. But once he met the sun she got everything that she wanted. Without having to lift a finger" he grumbled.

She nodded as she sat down across the desk from him.

"I know you probably wanted to deal with Roxanne on your own but I didn't want to interrupt you like Quinn did. I tried to stop him but you know how he is" she said softly.

"I recorded it if you want to watch so its up to you"

"Sweetheart, not even I can stop Quinn. As much as I would love to, have him out of my hair all together, it seems that he is one person that I do not have control over. He does as he pleases, and what he wants, and who he wants" he ended abruptly as he thought back to the times when Quinn and Kiara were together.

Kiara recorded the death of Roxanne, as much as part of him would have loved to have seen it. He was not in the mood right now.

"Perhaps another time. There has been too much death around here of late" he sighed as he took a sip of his blood.

She nodded and stood.

"Well I guess thats all I needed to tell you...I'm sure you're probably busy with other war related things" she said, her tone denoting the fact she was used to this "him being busy" routine by now.

She figured she might as well eat something and seclude herself in the bedroom.

"No...Please. Come and sit with me?" as he offered her his hand.

Still sitting in his chair behind his desk as he pushed back a little so that she could sit more comfortable in his lap.

She smiled and walked over behind the desk to take her spot on his lap like old times.

"I feel like we haven't been together in ages" she whispered, leaning her head on his shoulder.

Once she was nestled in his lap and her head on his shoulder as his fingers drew lazy circles on her lower back as he just revelled in the silence.

"I know...But you understand that I have to focus what time I have on this war. What I am doing is for our family. For Jessica, Brianna and Sophie. Everything I do is for this family" he assured her.

Kiara nodded, moving her hand to Bill's free hand and lacing her fingers with his.

"I know Bill.... I hate being apart from you but I know its for the good of everybody" she said as she lazily played with his fingers.

"How...will you handle Brianna?" she asked softly, wondering what Bill would do with the information he knew now.

Bill gazed down softly to their interlaced fingers and pondered her last remark about Brianna. Part of him wanted to kill the Tiger for attempting to ruin another of his progeny's. But he would not give him that satisfaction.

"I do not know...I said some things to her. I sent Brianna into the mouth of the beast himself. He has played his last trick and he will pay for it. But for now, Arabella will do" he smirked knowing that he had gotten one over on the him at last.

As his thumb traced over the palm of her hand.

"It will all be over soon...I promise" he assured her.

She smiled and looked up at him. "I hope so... I'm tired of going to bed alone" she said in a teasing manner.

She leaned her head back on his shoulder, enjoying the strange peace they had found in the moment.

"You never have to go to bed alone...All you have to do is say and I will join you sweetheart" he told her.

Even know he was in a war, he would always make time for him family, his loved ones.

"I told you...You would come first" he whispered huskily in her ear.

She shivered and wiggled her hips on his lap. "I know... but I also know this war business must come first... " she said as she tilted her head back and kissed along his jaw.


"We'll just have to make up for lost time later"

Bill slipped his arms around her waist as he pulled her body close to his own as the chair squeaked under the combined weight.

"Later? I thought you did not want to go to bed alone?" he smirked quirting his brow.

She grinned, glad for once she was wearing pants as they may provide just a bit better protection against Bill's clothing tearing bad habits.

"You're right...I hate going to bed alone" she whispered as she sat up a bit and moved until she was straddling his lap, hearing the chair creak again but thankfully not break, which would be a first for them both.

"But what kind of reputation would I have if I only come to you with bad news and craving sex?" she asked with that pout of hers that usually made Bill cave to her every whim and desire.

Bill could not help but chuckle lightly at her words as he pondered them for a brief moment and she now straddled his lap as he heard his chair creak.

"Then you would any normal fiancée of a King...Although the bad news has been coming quite frequently....Perhaps one night you should bring me good news?" he suggested.

But that pout.

Kiara pondered for a moment. Good news? Did she have any good news tonight? She was sort of training Jessica but she doubted that counted as good news.

She bit her lower lip as she looked back at him. "good news eh?" she whispered as she suddenly got an idea.

She moved her hands from his shoulder to casually peel off her blouse. She wasn't wearing a bra as she hadn't really expected to linger around the office like this and had expected to go back to the bedroom.

"Perhaps the good news is that I'm finding bra's as repulsive as you do?" she teased.

He was astounded at her act as her blouse floated to the floor and she was left with nothing but her lower half of clothing and her chest exposed to him and everything around her.

"If I was in a much damper mood you would have been scolded for this sweetheart" as he inclined his head to her exposed bosom "But perhaps your right, your garments seem pointless" he grinned.

Shifting her in his lap so that her back was pressed against his front as he placed her hands on the edge of his desk as he leaned forward a little to whisper in her ear.

"The Queen of Louisiana....do your bidding" he whispered.

She grinned, seeing his expression as his eyes glued themselves to her exposed chest. She blinked however when he moved her around so she was facing the door, her hands on his desk as he leaned in close.


"mmm... no bidding" she whispered as she reached up with one hand to stroke his scalp.

"Just a woman... who treasures every moment she can steal with the man she loves" she added as she tilted her head back, exposing her neck to him.

The coolness of his skin made her own skin break out in goosebumps. With her free hand she reached for his, holding it gently.

"Promise me Bill.... that we'll always be together" she whispered.
