Arrival

John looked over at Rochelle, seeing that she was still pouting about Tolvin. He glanced over at Rajat and pulled the blanket up over him a bit more. He smiled at Tijgerian and nodded toward the window.

“It looks like we are almost there, Tij.”

~Attention Passengers, we will be descending into Brasília shortly. Please make sure your trays are locked and seat backs are in their proper position. The temperature is a balmy 82 degrees and the skies are clear. Thank you for flying with us.~

He lifted Rajat’s seat back slowly so he would not wake him and watched as the city came into view beneath them. He watched as they decended, popping a piece of gum in his mouth and offered Tijgerian a piece as well.

She stretched a bit and sighed as she shifted in her seat to get more comfortable. Rajat was still asleep and she'd slept on and off the whole flight. Accepting the gum from John, she put in into her mouth and chewed slowly as she looked out the window at the earth below. It was beautiful. The more the scenery came into view, the more she couldn't wait to see it up close.

"It's so beautiful."

As the plane touched down, he felt Rajat stir next to him and pulled the blanket away. He ruffled the boy's hair and smiled.

"We are here, Rajat. You slept the whole way here."

He watched as Rajat rubbed his eyes and smiled.

"When can we eat?"

Quinn laughed and smiled at Tijgerian, then looked back at Rajat.

"Soon enough, Rajat. We need to get settled in the hotel and such, then we will find somewhere to eat."

"Can we go swimming? I wanna see the beach."

"Maybe tomorrow, Rajat. We have a lot to take care of today...and we need to find out which beaches are family friendly."

He laughed at Rajat's confused look, then grinned and winked at Tijgerian.

She looked over and listened to Rajat and John's conversation, looking at Rochelle in the corner of her eye. The girl barely slept and was checking her phone every twenty minutes. She said she was just checking to see if her Dad had emailed her but Tij knew that was BS. She grinned at how pathetically over the moon Rochelle was for this security guard. It was sort of sweet. If she wasn't careful though, love would bite her in the ass. It's what things like that did. She shook her thoughts away and looked over at John, forcing a small smile. Beaches here were not like other places. There were no clothing requirements at a lot of them and at this point in time, she'd rather not have that discussion with her son.

Quinn stood and began pulling the cases from the overheads and stacking them in his seat. He smiled when Rajat pulled his backpack free and pulled it on. He handed Tijgerian her attache case and picked up his briefcase, nodding to Rajat and heading toward the front of the plane. The flight attendant smiled briefly as he walked past. He glanced to Tijgerian and whispered.

"Ready to see her reaction?"

He grinned when he saw Tolvin standing at the door of the terminal. He nodded to him and watched as Tolvin walked forward with a manila envelope in hand. Quinn glanced back and watched Rochelle's reaction to seeing Tolvin.

She smirked and walked ahead of Rochelle. Walking next to John, she answered him in a low voice. "I just hope she doesn't kill me for not telling her. I did have a bit fun at her expense. Poor girl." She teased. Rajat was excited and bouncing about as he began to ask a million and one questions. She stopped next to John and Tolvin, turning her head to watch Rochelle walking towards them with her head down.

[I miss you.] She deleted that.

[Why didn't you say goodbye or where you were going?] Too clingy, she deleted that too. Sighing, she continued to roll her suitcase behind her, looking down at her phone as she thought of what to text Tolvin.

[Made it safely to Brazil. Hope you're safe too.] She hit send and hoped that sounded right. She had called his phone a few times but only got his voicemail, which made her worry. She missed him and wondered where he was and what he was doing. Trying to convince herself it was just work, part of his job and she'd have to get used to it...was not working.

She looked up and searched for Tigjerian and John. Spotting John, she began to walk towards them when he stepped aside from talking with someone and Tolvin was standing there. She ran into someone and dropped her cell and stumbled. "Oh, so sorry. Excuse me. I'm so sorry." She muttered, flushing red because of her clumsy display. She knelt down to pick her phone up and looked back up slowly. It was real, he was really here. She pulled her hair behind her ear and tried to act normal.

Tolvin smiled as John took the envelope.

"Everything is set up as you asked. There are four hotels in the area with your names on the register, then the Tigris pseudonym was used for your actual suites. A single phone call to each hotel will have you checked in to your rooms, to keep the false trails running, and the local authorities have people in place to watch each of them in case something comes up. All the details are in the envel..."

Tolvin fell silent as he saw her walking from the plane. She was not looking up and that gave him a moment to compose himself before she saw him. When she looked up, she stumbled into someone, dropping her phone. He felt his own buzz and pulled it out, seeing the text from her and smiling. He looked to Mr. Quinn.

"If you will excuse me for a moment, Mr. Quinn..."

Quinn smiled as Tolvin explained his precautions. He looked over at Tijgerian and smiled nodding.

"Just taking a few precautions is all."

He listened as Tolvin explained the rest..then looked up when he fell silent. He glances back and saw why..and grinned.

"Go ahead, Tolvin...just don't take too long. I want us to get to the hotel before anyone notices we have arrived. I don't want any surprises if we can help it."

He looked over at Tijgerian and smiled again, dropping the envelope in his briefcase and closing it again.

"We should go collect our bags. I'm sure they will be along soon enough..."

She cocked a brow at all the precautions John had taken but in the same aspect, respected him for it. She was intrigued he had thought to be so cautious. Curious as to why, she decided to save that question for later. "Very well, I think we should get checked in and settled so that I can let the board know I am here and get my meetings set up."

She watched Tolvin smile and walk towards Rochelle who had bumped into someone as her usual clumsy self did, smirking a bit before walking towards baggage claim with Rajat. She was amused by the way they still tried to remain a secret, obviously failing.

She stood and palmed the front of her dress, clearing her throat nervously as she composed herself. He began to walk towards her and her eyes went to John and Tij. Both were smiling and appeared to be amused by something. Had they planned this? Knew about them? Or just found her lack of coordination amusing? She grabbed the handle of her bag and walked forward towards Tolvin, stopping when she was inches from him. She looked up at him and smiled, shaking her head.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" She hadn't seen him in three days and she wanted to kiss him so bad. But she shouldn't...she couldn't.

He stepped close, looking in her eyes as she spoke.

"I couldn't, Rochelle. I had to come in secret. There were things I had to do. I did miss you though."

He glanced back, seeing Miss Sevti and Mr Quinn leaving to get their bags, he turned back to her and stole a quick kiss. He took her bag and offered his arm to her.

"We should probably catch up with them, don't you think?"

She smiled and reached up to touch his cheek when he kissed her quickly and she smiled, her eyes closed. It took a moment before she opened them again and realized he had spoken. "Oh,right....right, yes." She chuckled a bit and slipped her hand into the crook of his elbow, looking up at him as they walked towards baggage claim. "Do they know? I think they know. I think they set this up." She began to share her suspicions. "What do you think?"

He grinned as she took his arm. Her question echoed some of his own.

"I think they probably do. Considering the conversations I have had with Mr Quinn as of late, and the one you mentioned with Miss Sevti...I think they did plan this, at least in part. Maybe if things go right, we can steal away a little time to spend together while we are here. I found out that they do regular helicopter flights over the Falls. That might be something to see."

As they walked toward the main terminal and baggage claim, he could not help but smile. Of course they had been found out. Neither of them had exactly been that subtle...especially after their weekend away together...

"There they are...at the claim stand..."

She nodded and looked at him excited. "I think that would be amazing. I hope I have time to get away occasionally. From what Tij says the first few days will be crazy busy with meetings and conferences and all kinds of things." She blew out a breath and shrugged. "But I'll definitely make time for you." She gave him a sweet smile before stopping when she spotted Tij and John. Turning to face him, she ran her finger along the buttons of his shirt.

"If they do know, who says it'll be against the rules to share a room? If..if you want to I mean. No pressure." She never offered him this and occasionally slept in his bed at the mansion when she would fall asleep but it was never intentional. She was taking a step here, nervous to hear his reaction.

He stopped her, turning her to face him. His hands on her hips, he leaned in and kissed her again. He grinned at her suggestion.

"Well..that would definitely clarify things for everyone. I see no problem with it, but remember that you are here first for business with Miss Sevti, and I have my duties for Mr Quinn. So long as our choice does not interfere with that, I do not imagine they would object. As you have said, it seems they already know anyway..."

She smiled and melted into his kiss, not caring who saw at this point. Tij was pretty much the last person she was able to lie to or keep anything from. Nothing ever got past her.

"I'm sure you won't be too much of a distraction. Work first...play later." She grinned and gave him a playful look.

"Rochelle!" She turned to see Tij waiting for her with an impatient look upon her face.

"Looks like duty calls. Shall we?" She smiled and offered her hand to him, ready to show the world they were a couple, regardless who saw or what they thought about it.

"I'm sure you won't be too much of a distraction. Work first...play later. Looks like duty calls. Shall we?"

He laughed softly at her comment. Taking her hand, they headed toward the new day.
