The Disease Has Spread Empty The Disease Has Spread

Post by Bill Compton Sun Jul 27, 2014 9:28 am

The warmth of the water rippled against Bill Compton's exposed torso that crept above the waterline. With his back pressed firmly against the porcelain tub that he had been lying in now for several hours seemed to sooth the inner battle that was brewing in the back of his mind. Clusters of lavender bubbles drifted across the glass surface as he remained silent and still. Since returning from Sookie's party his mind had been awry and out of place. His mind heavily clouded with the vision of his wife Caroline and his children Sarah and Thomas. Memories of time before he left for war, memories that Bill could not forget.

It appeared to him now that it was another life, one that he longed to return too. Since Lilith's blood no longer flowed in his system and with the help of Clotho he could feel her blood run through his veins. But he could not get the memories out of his mind, he would forever be cursed to live with what he did to those whom he cared about. Those who he had let down in the process and those who he was willing to sacrifice to get what he wanted.

    Sookie.

He was willing to give her over to Warlow so that he could use his blood to save Jessica and the others at the vamp camp. But in that split second he made his decision he knew that there was no going back. He had lost who he once was and he could never go back to the man he once was. That man who stood next to his only daughter and promised her that he would come back. False hope, that was all that he could give her. But deep down he knew that it was a lie. But everyone deserved hope, even if it was only to be let down by death.

Every single evil thing that Bill had ever seen or done was now part of him and he could not change that. No matter how much he wanted to. Bill could not escape his past. Using his arms Bill pushed himself to his feet and stepped out of the tub and reached for a towel and wrapped it around his waist. Heading over to the large bathroom mirror; he wiped away the condensation and there his eyes caught something that he had not seen before.
