The flames flickered causing the wood to crackle and pop disintegrating into the ash pile already created by endless nights spent in front of the fire. These last few days since Bill had contracted the Hep V virus he had been spending endless hours loosing his clouded mind into the flames. But never did Bill ever think that he would be lying here with the love of his life - Sookie.
Bill could feel her delicate fingers tracing the thick black veins on his chest that sent wisps of pain through his skin. He tried to hide it as much as he could but he knew that it would only be a matter of time before every movement, every scratch would intensify the pain.
