Eric groaned. He wasn't feeling the usual lethargy that came from the sun going down. In fact he felt sore which was strange. His feet were hurting, his back and he felt a strange sort of twinge in pain on his lower abdomen like someone had sprinkled silver on his skin. He rolled over and something was instantly wrong. First he realized he wasn't in his king size bed, the scent was different. It smelled like Sookie. Mmmm....sweet sweet sookie. Second as he moved an arm over to his night stand he realized he couldn't reach the night stand. He opened his eyes then sat up straight. He looked to the left, then right. He was in a small room, way smaller than what he was used to. If he wasn't mistaken he was in sookie's bedroom, her old bedroom not the one he'd paid to have made on her second floor.
He scooted over to the edge of the bed and the moment he swung his legs over to get out of bed he gasped. Instead of his usual handsome 6'4 figure he was staring at a pair of pale, hairless female legs. Legs he knew intimately but legs that weren't his to begin with. As he stood up he looked at his hands. Small and tapered, the hands he loved when they stroked him but that didn't do him much good now. He touched his face. Sure enough it was soft and round, lacking his jaw structure. He froze on the spot. Using just his eyes he looked left, then right. He WAS in Sookie's bedroom, the mid afternoon sunlight spilling through a half open window. The house was quiet, a merlottes uniform was strewn about on the floor, as well as a purse and some other feminine objects.
Before he could process anything however a sharp twinge on his lower abdomen made him hiss. "What the hell?" he said looking down. His...well Sookie's body was trying to tell him something he just wasn't sure what.
"Ok Eric what do you know about female humans that doesn't involve sex?" he asked himself, but in Sookie's voice which made the whole experience more surreal. Again the sharp twinge near his loins...well her loins... did women have loins? He shook his...her head in confusion. He hadn't been this confused since france back in the 50's where men wearing tights were still the fashion. His now feminine legs began to move towards a door. Well he may not know what was going on but her body sure did and sure enough he found himself in the bathroom.
"What the.... why would I...." he then stopped. Sookie was human, and therefore had working kidneys that were wanting to be relieved. He stared at the toilet and thank the gods that Pam wasn't here to watch him make a fool of himself. Somehow his body did maneuver and he was sitting in a most undignified manner on the cold porcelain. There was silence which made him worry. "PLEASE don't tell me I broke her..." he said before the soft trickle from his body brought about the strangest sense of relief. He hadn't used kidneys in over 1200 years and had forgotten how nice it felt to pee. Looking around he found plush 2 ply paper and began the even worse task of "cleaning up".
A few seconds later
"WHY AM I BLEEDING OUT OF MY VAGINA?!" he screamed as he sat up with a hurry and sure enough there was blood in the toilet and on the tissue paper. What the hell had Sookie been up to last night that she was now bleeding? He looked around in a panic, unsure of what to do. He then felt the same sort of ache from before, like powder silver embedded into him. As he searched around the bathroom he found....oh sweet gods please someone shoot him now......tampons.... He recalled now that when Sookie had visited at the bar she had reeked of her menstrual cycle and now he was forced to deal with it in her body.
"tackar gudarna jag är ensam" [thank the gods I'm alone] he muttered as he actually had to look at the instructions that came on the tampon box to figure out the mechanics of it. After several embarrassing minutes and a lot of tissue paper he finally sorted THAT out. He stepped out and walked around before he paused at the window. There was sunlight, real sunlight in the room and for the first time he wasn't feeling the burn or the lethargy or the bleeds from it. Tentatively he stepped into a large beam of sunlight that spilled into the room. It was warm, life giving and before he knew it he was crying...well sookie was crying but either way he wept for joy. Even more so the tears were real, not blood.
He found himself rushing outside in nothing but a tweedy bird long shirt and shorts and just running out into the sun like a lunatic. He screamed and jumped and rolled around in the grass. He didn't care that it was almost 90 degrees or that the humidity was through the roof. As he laid there, staring almost directly at the sun he was still crying. It was worth any amount of indignities to feel the sun again on his...well sookie's skin, but he was feeling it. He sat up, all messy and covered in grass stains. It didn't dawn on him until now that if he was in Sookie's body she was probably in his.
"oh.....fuck...." he muttered. He had business to run as a vampire and Pam would surely notice the difference in his attitude. He stood, but not before spinning around under the sun one last time before dashing inside. A strange grumble in his stomach told him that he was hungry so he'd have to figure out some real human food later for now... given his dirty appearance he'd have to shower... somehow figure out a tampon...again... and head to fangtasia.
