Hoyt sat back on a chair as he watched Amy settle into motherhood as though she was born to do this, the boys had taken to her as though it was fate. He had everything that he ever wanted, what else could he ever want? He had promised Cael that he would never ever let anything happen to them and that was a promise that he was not going to break. His mama had called several times but he still hadn't told her anything, he figured that it was going to be the best thing to tell her in person.
He knew how she was going to react when she found it, she still had a hard time coming to terms with the fact that vampires existed, not that he knew any. Other than vampire Bill that Sookie used to date. But other than that he didn't know of any other, but he couldn't take Amy and the kids to Bon Temps, the vampires would smell them.
He figured that it would be best to call Cael and ask him to come and stay with Amy whilst he made one last trap back to Bon Temps for a few days whilst he spoke to his mama. That seemed like the best thing to do, but he hated leaving Amy and the boys behind. But he didn't want to bring his mama here to upset Amy by questioning whether Elijah and Lucas were his, they were his. That was all that mattered to him, but he wanted his boys to know their grandmother, its what he never had.
And he had promised that he would give his boys everything that he never had and that included family, but first he needed to speak to Amy and then Cael.
Then possibly soon he would make his trip back to Bon Temps....Maybe
