Hoyt was still asleep and she was restless. Stepping down to the first floor, she wrapped her robe around her body and tied the string. Her gaze went to the closed door of Bill's office, she still hadn't opened it since he died. Swallowing hard, she thought about going inside but wasn't sure if she could. Looking down at the floor, she thought about Bill and how much he meant to her. Climbing the stairs slowly, she reached the top and went left instead of right.
Hesitantly, she reached for the door knob and waited a few moments before turning it. Pushing the door open, she was welcomed with Bill's familiar and comforting scent. Closing her eyes, she inhaled and smiled softly. In a blur, she was over at his closet and pulling a shirt down. Placing it to her nose, she closed her eyes again and felt a tear slide down her cheek.
