    Vampire Basics 101

Good evening all you baby vamps, orphan vamps and down right slow vamps. Vampire basics are the basic tools of survival, which in some cases none of you have a fucking clue. Not surprising that most vampires don't bother to teach their progenies.

First, I'd like to talk about feeding. When feeding on a human (willing human) listen closely to the beat of the heart. When it slows...stop. Stopping isn't the easiest thing in the world, especially if the person tastes exceptionally well. Personally, I think of dirty diapers, screaming children and maggots. Whatever you find most repulsive, use it. Otherwise, you'll have a dead trucker on your hands *wink*

Feeding from a non-willing human can be simple or tricky. Glamour your meal (we'll get to that shortly) into believing they want to be bitten. They need it, desire it, crave it. Takes the fun out of the hunt a bit but it is effective.
If you rather play the predator, hunting your unwilling meal and scaring them to pieces (which makes the blood taste different, again will get to that soon) you'll need to be fast, strong and confident. While feeding you will need a balance of strength and multitasking skill. Beware of your meal facing you...the sharpest (and unsuspecting thing) to your chest cavity, and you've become the hunted. Also, a pile of what used to be-you.

Glamouring- takes a few practice takes and a lot of concentration. Catch the gaze of your subject. Stare into their eyes, but reach into their soul. Connect with their inner most thoughts. Once they have become transfixed with you, hypnotic in a way, begin to softly explain what you need them to think or feel or remember. It erases what the subject knew as the truth to what you have planted in their head. Very few ways can a person escape Glamouring or have it broken. Once you've replaced their memory with something hold th gaze for a few seconds more, so that the information sinks and holds. Break the gaze, and pretend nothing unusual happened.

Blood smells and tastes- the way some ones blood smells varies from person to person, from supe to supe. Let's begin with humans. They all seem to smell basically the same. When a humans emotions are strong, the taste is tainted with flavor. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Let's give an example. If someone is fearful, fear so strong the person is shaking...the flavor of the blood tastes like unfresh peaches. Bitter and a tad salty. While still good, the taste has changed. If someone were angry it would taste highly bitter and sour. If they are aroused, or lustful the taste is sweeter. Like lemon juice to water.

Supes have different tastes from humans completely. Faeries and some weres can make a vampire "drunk" or "high". Gives the vampire a certain relaxed mood. Also gives them more strength depending on the supe. For example: a simple shifters blood would be strong like 20%rubbing alcohol to 80% water. You can tell a difference but not too different from a human. Sorta like human blood with a tiny of magic. Sookies blood is sweet smelling and luring. Almost like a few scoops of honey in a glass of water. Intoxicating but you need a lot of it for real effect. Most weres (wolves, panther, foxes, bats etc) taste different according to animal strength. A wolf would give a vampire more strength than a fox would. It's like human blood with a wild animal smell. Not disgusting but not fantastic. Intoxicating just a tad. A were tiger is the strongest amount the weres due to its rarity. A were tigers blood would heighten a vampires strength, libido, and intoxication level. Almost as much as a full faerie, but not as strongly. The power, strength and authority in such an animal is strong and thats what is attracting the vampire the most. The power...the strength.

Feeding from a supe, isn't an easy task. You must be 100% on your game (if the supe is not willing) so that you may overpower that supe. Be ready for a fight, one that you could ultimately lose with just one wrong move. Some Supes are un-glamourable.

I hope this has been helpful, if not screw you. I haven't got time for newbies. This is all you get so take heed
