The compound was surprisingly active. Nik and a few other weres traveled down a line of selected donors. Kiara was sparing no expense in finding the correct donors, the correct blood.
It had taken a while, but she’d amassed several half fae, some shifters, weres, and clean humans. Now about that celtic blood. It was the one thing that eluded her, however she wasn’t about to give up so easily.
As she paced in her office, her new cell phone held to her cheek as she typed away on her tablet. On her desk was a box with Quinn’s loaner phone. She had to go give that back eventually, but for now she was too busy.
“Yes I’m still here” she said as she paced around. She was on the phone with some contacts in Europe. A bit of here and there, and some moving of money and bam! She’d found herself pure, celtic donors. Apparently European vampires were much more refined than Americans. They had humans under their lines and traded them like one trades fine wine. Now she would have 3 pure celts flown over for her inspection. If all went well she’d be making some major coin with the new blood. Once the conversation was over she went over the inventory of the party.
All the bottled blood…check, and the donors were passing inspection so check… now… Her eyes fell on the box again and she sighed. She’d have to face Quinn sooner rather than later.
