Justice long overdue Empty Justice long overdue

Post by Amy Williams Thu Jan 24, 2013 10:50 am

She ran all through the night club. Her mother had pressed her luck and pissed her off for the last time. The mistake she’d made was that her siblings would turn out like she wanted. Au contraire, all 4 of her siblings shared her point of view. They didn’t want to just breed and spawn babies like their mother. They wanted to create a nurturing environment, be with people they loved.

Her mother thought that by coming to the fae night club she’d be among like minded people. However among the medium size crowd of fae who were all still preparing for the night there were only one or two other females who shared her view. The elder closed the portal temporarily to the human world.

“That’s enough mother!” yelled Amy. The club was silent as they watched the confrontation of mother and daughter. “You’ve caused children enough pain” she said. Her mother looked at her with a sneer. “I’m doing my job as a good fairy. Bringing more of us into the world” she said with a high and mighty tone.

The elder faery appeared. He was almost 1000 years old and ruled this area. “Mitcka” he said as everyone hushed. “Out of all the children you’ve created these ones right here have been the only ones who didn’t turn on us. All of your other children remained in summerland, willing to continue to harvest humans. They, like you have not evolved.” He said. Amy watched the elder, wondering where he was going with this.

“But elder. Our numbers are so small…” she said but the elder raised his hand to silence her. “Only 5 of your children are here. We left them all behind. You’ve already gone ahead and birthed more children now but rest assured it will be the last time you’ll see them” he said as he walked over to Amy. She wondered what he was doing until he handed her an item wrapped in a cloth. Curious she slowly unwrapped it and gasped.

It was a ceremonial dagger, made of pure iron. It was a dagger that was used for fae ceremonies and justice. It was a silent way of the elder saying he was handing over justice to Amy and her siblings. The elder walked off. Amy’s other siblings, including her older brother walked up to her and she showed them the dagger. Her mother gasped, knowing what this meant. Her siblings glared at their mother and Amy took hold of the dagger by the handle. The injustice would end tonight, and they would make sure no more children were brought into the world just to be hated by the person who should have loved them the most.
Afterwards Amy handed the bloody dagger back to the elder who put it away. Just the her phone buzzed. She looked at it and smiled.

    I love you x

Hoyt had sent her a message and it made her happy. At least now her mother wouldn’t ruin her relationship with Hoyt.
