Waste of Time

Pam was pissed but refused to show it; Eric had neglected the club, neglected their investments, neglected his sheriff duties and meetings, and most of all neglected her. She wasn't "down" for being pushed aside for his determination to continue to search the globe for Sookie fucking Stackhouse. Enough was enough! She walked into his office without knocking, shocked he was actually in there and began. "Well, color me fucking impressed...you're actually here. Are you about done searching for that little human? We have shit to run and more important things to address." Her hand on her hip as she looked at him with a cocked brow waiting on his answer. Her face gave away no emotion as she spoke to him coldly.

Eric had been busy typing away on his laptop. It had been 7 months since he'd last sensed Sookie. He'd already purchased her home and was in the process of having an underground cubby built with an armoire as a decoy for the door.

Currently he was surfing a webpage one of his lackeys had forwarded him. It was of a new business springing up in New Orleans that was quickly becoming popular with the vampires. It advertised a real donor service, not just fangbangers but medically examined and scrutinized donors. As he scrolled down Pam came into his office. Her cocked hip and demeanor told him that if she were another woman she'd be giving him a lecture right about now, but Pam wasn't like that.

"What is it Pam? The bar is running, the books are good, we haven't had Bill show up here trying to scrutinize us so what ever in the world has got you bothered?"

"Yeah all thanks to me. You and your little...obsession over finding this girl who wants nothing to do with you has made you forget your priorities." She said almost in a bored tone. The whole subject of Sookie Stackhouse bored her to death. She was sick of hearing her name, seeing Eric obsess and spend his money on her and her stupid house. Even going as far as to have it fixed and repainted for when she returned home because she'd find out he did it and run to him with open arms. What was so special about the little twit besides her blood smelling delicious? She raised both brows at him and took a seat on the edge of his desk. "Eric, what's gotten into you? You're just as bad as Bill Compton with your pathetic determination to find and rescue her. Maybe she doesn't want to be found. Ever thought of that?" She asked in her most uncaring voice.

He sighed as he closed his laptop. "And maybe I just wanted a house to spy on our new king..." he said calmly. He placed his chin on his interlaced fingers, staring intently at a spot on the wall across from him. Yes he had searched for Sookie and yes Pam was probably upset over that but he didn't care. Sookie was an enigma he wanted to unwrap, not to mention he'd love to bend her over this desk and give her the fuck of her pathetically human life.

At least it seemed that Pam hadn't blabbed to Bill. The last thing he needed was the boyscout king getting all up in his business. Last he heard Bill was fucking every female on his staff. Good for him at least. He was learning that love was a human thing, vampires fucked.

"What is this about Pam? I keep you around because you lack emotions and don't do this whole sharing of feelings"

Pam rolled her eyes and shook her head with a smirk. "Oh yes, I'm just dying to hold hands and sing kumbaya. Take a look at the last few months and really tell me how much time wasn't spend on Sookie Stackhouse." She watched him stare into space, probably thinking about the pathetic girl again. Of course she wanted Eric happy. But Sookie couldn't make him happy, she lost her chance after she refused him for Bill Compton. The pathetic teenage boy scout. The crown he thought he wore inflated his head, and she'd like nothing more than to put him in his place. "It's just a waste of time, Eric. I'm just waiting for you to realize that." She said blankly and a bit chilling. Remaining calm the whole time and refusing to show him how much this annoyed her. He wouldn't get the satisfaction. "But it's your eternity. Spend it fawning over the waitress. But just remember who is keeping this bar standing." With that she stood and proceeded to walk to the door, wondering if she'd get a rise out of him.

He shrugged "You really shouldn't think yourself too mighty Pamela.. Just because you think you keep the bar up, doesn't mean you do" he said calmly as he returned to his laptop. He'd been going over the books for years, even during the months that Sookie had been missing. He'd personally gone over all her work and corrected the small mistakes she always made.

He may want to fuck a certain blonde, but at the end of the day he was out to make a buck for himself.
