Eva walked in the gallery with a couple paintings under her arms. she set them down walking towards the office. she unlocked it and walked in. she sat down her purse on the desk  she then turned on the computer and walked out closing the door. Eva knew she need to hire help but right now she had enough dealing with getting her deadlines met.
Eva  walked back to the front desk and grabbed the painting. she walked to the back and placed them on the back table. they need to be framed and hung up for display.

the phone ran and she jogged back towards the front. her heels clanking on the wood floor as she rushed to answer it. She reached it picking it up. "hello?" but who ever it was had already hung up. "damn it." she cursed hanging up the phone. she ran her fingers through her hair out of frustration and looked around. "i promise dad I wont fail you." she said walking back to her office. she need to answer emails, confirm orders and also try and find a couple of people to hire.

As eva sat at her computer typing she thought back on when she was younger. her father would often bring her to work. as he sat in the very chair she was in Eva would sit on the ground beside him. always drawing or coloring it was always her passion and the whole reason for the gallery. Henry knew one day his time would come and he wanted to leave something for his daughter.

the chair was the same but the building was different. they use to be located in Galveston off the coast. they had to move the gallery because of the hurricane that wiped it out. her father moved it up the Shreveport away from the sea and way from there kind. He hated his people for disowning him. he should never forgive them. Eva always wanted to know where she came from but her father shadowed her from it. he didn't want her involved  with them. She grew up shelters a bit, although like any other kid she would sneak out and explore.  she just wanted to see the world, the beautiful part of it any way. eva knew humans were harmful so she kept her distance as her father instructed.

Eva broke out of her day dream and cracked her neck. her hands rubbed the back of her shoulder blade. she could feel a hard knot that had formed form the stress. she rubbed it to try and make the pain go away but it was stubborn. she rose from the desk and walked out the office into the gallery.
