Room Mates

After her first lesson with Arabella had gone well, or as well as she had expected it to go. As she entered the kitchen she found it empty as she began scanning for Quinn. The house was too silent as she decided that she could explore a little more. She remembered seeing Quinn going down this hallway as she assumed that this was his personal space, she hoped that she was not disturbing him by going down here.

As she came to a door she could hear noises from inside as she knocked on the door a few times.

"Quinn? Quinn you there?" she called.

Quinn had been meditating most of the morning. This was becoming his new ritual. With the realization that he had a family to think on, he had to make a few changes and this was one of them. He counted back down as his body relaxed. The bruising along his back was already beginning to fade as he sensed someone approaching. The scent in the air made him smile. He knew they had been training outside, but did not know what Arabella had planned out. He had promised not to interfere. As she called for him, he took a deep breath and relaxed. He waited for her to come into the room. His mind was clear and he was focused.

Not hearing anything as she knocked again a little louder this time but still she heard nothing. Reaching for the handle as she slowly creaked open the door and peered her head inside scanning for Quinn. Her eyes shot open as she took in the size of the room, it was bigger than bedroom and closet put together back at Bill's place.

Stepping inside as she closed the door behind her hearing it click shut as she took a step further into the room.

"Quinn?" she called out again.

He heard her calling, "Quinn?" and smiled. He stretched out and moved to a handstand. He took a breath and moved to one hand. He shifted his weight as he looked toward the door.

"Come in, Brianna. How did this evening's lesson go?"

Hearing his voice as she followed it to the corner of the room that was not paying attention too as she was taking in every detail of his room, it had everything. It was like walking into a whole new world filled with technology. As her eyes locked to him as he was doing this one handed handstand as she looked on in awe.

"...Um...It was very good. I think I did well" she whispered.

He smiled and rolled into a tumble, coming to his feet a few inches from her. He looked into her eyes, his hands resting on her shoulders gently.

"I'm glad to hear it, Brianna. I don't know what she had in mind, but I am sure it was creative."

Her scent was very pleasant as he felt her closeness. His fingers caressed her shoulders through her top.

Brianna took a step back as he fell into a tumble and returned to his feet, she always hated gym when she was at school. But it wasn't so bad when she could do all this extra stuff like her speed. Freezing a little as she felt his hands on her shoulders as she smirked recalling the first lesson.

"It was eggs...Catching eggs and my speed and instincts" she told him.

He smiled, looking into her eyes.

"Trusting your instincts is a very good choice for a first lesson, but remember that you cannot loose yourself in them. It is a delicate balance to achieve."

"I just never had someone to teach me all this stuff before, Bill promised me that he would. But I think I prefer Arabella teaching me. I like her" she smiled.

Looking around the room as she turned around to admire everything.

"Your room is amazing, makes my room look small. Not that I am complaining my room is really nice" she turned to quickly rectify herself

He chuckled.

"This is not my rooms. This is the training room. Feel free to look around."


He watched as she looked around.

"You are welcome to come here any time if you want to train. It can be very useful."

"Wait? You don't sleep here? Exactly how big is this place?" she asked as looked around the training room as he called it. 

Why did Bill not have something like this at his place.

He chuckled and watched her look around.

"Actually, my sleeping rooms are across the hall from Arabella's rooms. I spend a lot of time here though. As for how big the place is, it is as big as I need it to be. We used a lot of little tricks when we were remodeling to make better use of the space."

He walked around her, smiling as he noticed the flecks of eggshell.

"I take it you guys made a bit of a mess?"

His room was across from Arabella's? She thought was just another room that was filled with so much more stuff. Hearing him say about making a mess she noticed that she had some egg shells on her.

"Well I made the mess, Arabella is as clean as a whistle" she grumbled.

Maybe with more training she might be a good vampire like Arabella, but she knew that it would take more than just one lesson.

"So...I heard your talk with Jessica. I know I shouldn't have been listening but I couldn't help it. If it makes things uncomfortable for you I can go back and stay at Bill's?" she asked him.

He let his hands slide down her body, coming to rest on her hips.

"Not a chance, beautiful. I like having you here. She needed to hear what I said for her own sake."

"But she thinks that you are using me" she whispered.

Feeling his hands glide down her body as her voice hitched in her throat.

"How much?" she asked him smiling.

"How much?"

His eyebrow arched.

"How much?"

He pulled her closer, leaning close to her. He whispered as he looked in her eyes.

"It surprised me when William suggested it, I'll admit, but it can work to our advantage, wouldn't you say?"

"And that means that Jessica hasn't told him about our budding friendship or else I would have felt him summon me by now" she grinned.

Draping her arms over his shoulders as one hand caressed the back of his neck.

"Well Arabella has given me the rest of the night off...So what shall we do?" she grinned batting her eyelashes.

He grinned at her.

"I'm open to suggestions. Anything come to mind?"

"Well this is your home so we can do anything that you want" she replied.

Placing a kiss on his lips as she pulled back to gaze at him.

Feeling her kiss, he smiled.

"Actually, for now, this is our home, not just mine. Perhaps we start with a tour?"

"Sounds good" she grinned "Lead the way" she grinned.

Slipping her hand into his as she let him guide the way to begin their tour.
