Welcome to Louisiana Empty Welcome to Louisiana

The plane landed in Shreveport somewhere around three in the morning. Rajat was sleeping soundly next to her, curled up and peaceful. She hated to move him and risk waking him, so she let him sleep the whole flight. It was a long one, too. Even she had drifted off to sleep, a sleep where a familiar face haunted her dreams.

Had all the rumors been true? It mattered less and less to her, but now that Rajat was growing up, it did matter. The news had spread like wildfire, quickly catching her ear. The were community was one that was very talkative. At first, it was something she refused to believe...but the more she thought back on their past, the more conclusive those rumors became. Be it fate or coincidence, her boss had sent her to Louisiana to help with the inspections of a few new businesses from the North all the way down to the South near New Orleans. It came with added bonuses, and the chance to see for herself if the rumors of the were tiger in Louisiana who was smitten by vampires, was true. It sickened her to think...could he have fallen so low?

"Rajat, sayangku, sekarang saatnya untuk bangun."

(Rajat, my darling, it is time to wake.)

His little eyes fluttered open and she pulled him into her arms as she departed from the plane. She went straight to the awaiting car her company had arranged and watched as the driver loaded her luggage into the trunk. Getting into the backseat with her little Rajat, she smiled and ran her hand through his soft hair. Kissing his forehead, she continued to caress his hair to put him back to sleep until she arrived at their hotel.

She looked out the window of the car and watched the buildings pass her, taking in the sights of this new city. India was nothing like this, it was a nice change. In the pit of her stomach, she hated to know that eventually she would come face to face to the man whose eyes were the same as her son's....and the worst part? She was ashamed to say that John Quinn was his father.....
