Bringing up the subject

Tolvin walked into the office, knocking on the doorway, and clearing his throat. He could not remember the last time he was this nervous.

"Mr. Quinn...do you have a moment?"

Quinn closed the laptop screen and smiled.

"Of course, Tolvin. What's on your mind?"

He moved in and stood in front of the desk but could not look Mr Quinn in the eyes.

"Well, Sir...Miss Petrakis has a free day coming up. I was wondering if you would be willing to give me a personal day. I would like to....show her around the area. They do not know where anything is...so I thought it might be a good...."

He grinned as a his head of security began to flounder, blushing brightly. He held up his hand, silencing Tolvin mid-sentence.

"Tolvin, if you wish for some time off, all you need to do is say so. If you want to spend that time with Rochelle, that is your choice. I noticed that she gets a bit flustered around you. Did you think to ask her before coming to me? Either way, feel free to take what time you need. We both know you have this place so well planned, you could take off a week and nobody would be out of place. You are the one man I trust above all else. What could go wrong?"

"Of course, Mr Quinn. But you have to remember. It is good and well to place things in the hands of the perfect man, but what do you do when the perfect man has a belly ache?"

He smiled at Mr Quinn, surprised at the high praise.

"Tolvin, we will just have to manage...enjoy your time off. Take the Jaguar. It's a bit more fun, and you don't take time off much."

Tolvin smiled at Mr Quinn's response.

"Of course, Mr. Quinn...thank you."

He began running through things in his mind and it went back to Mr. Quinn's comment...he never asked Rochelle if she wanted his company. He smiles and turned, walking out of the room. He knew where his next stop was. He needed to talk to her...this should be interesting...
