It had finally warmed up enough for her to be able to grab her old lounge chair, a small battery operated radio and some suntan oil so that she could go lay out in the sun; she had on her favorite little bikini (brown and pink!) and was planning on starting to get golden brown, even if there was still a chill in the air. Why shouldn't she? It was daytime so there were no vampires about to bother her, no one that she knew of was around to try and kill her.
Alcide was not home, Jason was doing Lord knew what or who and that just left... her. Her and the sun.
She pulled her shades over her eyes and lay back on the lounger, letting the sun and music wash over her, and letting her mind wander.
Things with Alcide were going much more smoothly than she could have hoped; they were happy! Something that she had never expected. There weren't any issues, other than the two of them working all the time. But she still had no regrets. She and Alcide had tiptoed around being together for so long that now that it was happening, she wasn't quite sure what to think of it most days. She cared about him, deeply. Maybe even loved him. And it was just so... new. Amazing.
A grin played at the corners of her lips as she lay there, turning her face to the side and closing her eyes as the music continued to play. It wasn't long before she drifted off into the land where no bad ever came, and there was nothing but good every day. She dreamed that she was in Alcide's arms.
