Final Destination: Brazil Empty Final Destination: Brazil

It felt like months since she had been to work. Well, it had been a month like she agreed but it felt like longer. She was looking forward to getting back to work and showing her firm who was best. Xavier would not take that away from her. She landed more accounts and that was the way it would stay. Rajat was eager to see Brazil and she had to admit, she was too. One place she never traveled to before. She looked over at Rochelle who was still upset but wouldn't say why. She knew why. John had sent Tolvin on a mission and he would not be joining them in Brazil. Maybe now Rochelle would get some work done.

She stared out the window of the plane, watching the men load the cargo area. Rajat and John were playing some game and Tijgerian was on her laptop getting a head start on work. She rested her head against the glass and blew out a soft breath.

He didn't even say goodbye. A note was all she got with the words 'sorry, duty calls. Xoxo' she was shocked he wouldn't tell her where or what happened. Had her father scared him off? That was a possibility. She closed her eyes and blew out another breath.

"Are you going to mope the entire 16 hour flight?" She asked, annoyed. There was no way she was going to watch this girl be so dreary. "Perk up Petrakis. The city of Rio awaits" she said sarcastically as the pamphlet they were given said.

"Not the whole flight. Maybe 15 hours of it." She shot back just as sarcastic. Tij rolled her eyes at her and she drew little doodles on the fogged window.

"Why you so sad Miss Shelly?" She heard Rajat ask and paled a bit. Forcing her best smile, she chuckled.

"Oh I'm okay. Just wanted to tell a friend goodbye but he had to work."

"Mr Tolvin?" Rajat asked with a sly grin and she flushed a bit. Only nodding to answer and quickly darting her eyes anywhere but at John or Tij. Kill her now.

She actually smirked at her sons cute and innocent way of putting her on the spot. Yeah, she was real hung up on this guy. A pity she was keeping it such a secret.

"So, Tolvin had to work. Sorry he could join us. Perhaps another time. I'm sure he sends his regards." She gave John a look and continued to grin.

"Yeah. Perhaps. I'm sure he wishes he could have. He's never been. I mean at least that's what he mentioned once. He's a really nice friend to me. Very kind." She spoke and looked nervously at John as if she were describing how Vincent had been to her. Vincent had been kind too. They all had. But she missed Tolvin. It had been two days since he left and no word. She missed his voice. His cologne. His touch. His kiss.

    Him.

The plane began it's take off and she looked out the window to watch the ground slowly disappear from beneath them. She only hoped wherever he was, he was safe.
