Dieter Braun is an ancient vampire, and a Chancellor of the Vampire Authority. Mature, self-possessed, calm and authoritative, with a piercing gaze. Dieter is extremely intimidating, despite his slender frame, and he enjoys using innovative methods to torture prisoners during interrogation. His methods of choice include injecting liquefied silver into the veins of his victims, and burning them with exposure to ultra-violet lights.
Basically with a group like The Authority, they need someone to search out the truth. And when you’re dealing with vampires, getting the truth is a bit of a tricky operation. It requires somebody very creative and passionate about getting the truth.
Dieter is definitely that man. He’s been around a long time. He knows what he’s doing. He enjoys his job but I’m not sure how much because when you’re dealing with interrogation, you don’t want to say that someone enjoys their job. It makes them sound like a bit of a sadist and that’s not him, but he definitely gets the job done.
There is quiet a bit of mystery surrounding Dieter but what is known is that he is for the most part very silent, direct and creative in the way that he gets his information. So he’s not really a man so much of flash action as much as an intellectual danger. What you really have to ask though..does that make him less dangerous or more so?
Quotes:
"Do you believe in a literal interpretation of our sacred text?"
―Dieter Braun to Bill Compton
"Russell Edgington, alive! What an epic fucking disaster!"
―Dieter
"Allow me to deal with these traitors, Guardian. They will beg for the True Death!"
―Dieter
