Guess we're partying

Ginger walked into Eric's office in Fangtasia. Eric didn't even bother looking up from the books he was going over until Ginger placed an envelope on his desk and ran off. Eric quirked a brow since Ginger rarely handed him stuff, let alone mail this late.

Looking up from the books he reached over for the envelope and opened it. His interest was peeked just for a moment as he saw it was an invitation to a grand opening....in vegas. He hadn't traveled outside of Louisianna since that time he went to find Godric in Texas.

As he looked the invite over it said he was allowed to bring one progeny of his choosing. That made him think of Sookie. Since she was technically his wife by vampire standards she got an automatic invite regardless and he wasn't about to leave LA and not take her. Not only would he not hear the end of it, but it was likely that someone would take advantage of his absence as usual and cause trouble. WELL there would be no "fuckin sookie" moments as long as she remained by his side.

As if on cue he could hear Pam drone on about rednecks outside the door. Clearly someone must have made a pass at her newest toy Tara for her to be that irritated.

"Listen you stupid redneck, obviously talking to you is like having to slap an old TV a few times to get the picture. She's with me, she likes women. So you touch her again, you'll pull back a bloody stump, got it?" The man nodded and turned to go back to the bar looking over his shoulder occasionally. Stupid old redneck fangbangers. Disgusting is what they were. Tara gave her a wink and a smile as she continued to serve beers. She'd taken her off the stage and let her dance in private just for Pam's entertainment. Now she moved up to bartender, which she was pretty good at. Rolling her eyes as she headed into the hallway to Eric's office.

Opening the door after one knock she strolled in and began talking. "Just wanted to let you know the deposits have all been made and we're caught up, finally. If you cared to know." Seeing he was looking at what appeared to be an invitation of some sort she cocked a brow up, walking over to his desk and taking a seat at the corner of his desk, crossing her leg over the other.

"And what may I ask is that?"

Eric calmly handed the invite to Pam. "Invitation from Felipe De Castro to the opening of his casino in vegas" he said as he leaned back, pushing the chair back so he could properly put his legs up on the desk.

"Looks like anyone who is anyone is going to be there, so maybe we could mix business and pleasure. Oh I suppose I could tell you that I'm allowed to bring my progeny" he said casually. With his long lean legs clad in leather he didn't look like the business owner he was, not to mention the bored expression on his face said that he was often invited to fancy events and he had enough pull in the vampire world to be selective of where he went.

Upon reading the invitation a smile crept cross her face. "Well, isn't that delightful." Rolling her eyes and handing him back the invitation as she asked. "Felipe De Castro....I've heard of his side kick Victor Madden before. Annoying little twit he is. But...I guess I'll go. What should I wear?" She said with smile as she grabbed her nail file from his desk, she kept them everywhere and began to file her nails contemplating a last minute manicure. If they were going to Vegas she had to look good.

A thought popped into her mind. "What about Tara? Can I bring her?" She was almost certain his wife would be coming, Eric couldn't leave Sookie alone for a minute without her getting into some sort of damsel in distress emergency. Fuckin' Sookie.

Eric shrugged. "I suppose you can bring a toy or two. But if you're bringing Tara you're responsible for her. I can't babysit you and your pet AND my wife all at the same time" he said, giving Pam a pointed look.

At least with Tara around Pam would be a bit more distracted so he wouldn't get as much lip from her as usual. Ever since he'd trick married Sookie Pam had been on a "I hate the blonde faery" crusade. It was getting to be a bit bothersome, but he supposed it was his fault. For over 100 years he'd spoiled Pam rotten to the core and she wasn't used to being number 2 on his list.

She rolled her eyes and hopped down from the desk. "Please, like I need a babysitter. We all know you'll be on constant Sookie watch to make sure the big bad wolf doesn't get her and god forbid something happen to the fairy." As she headed to the door with a smile she looked over her shoulder. "I'm sure Tara will be thrilled to get out of this hell hole. Violet and Daniel can manage things while we're gone. I trust her."

Before opening the door, she turned to look at him. "Oh, and Eric. Those pants are so last season." Giving him a wink before strutting out of his office with a wide smile.

Eric rolled his eyes. The day he didn't have to babysit Pam would be a blessed day indeed. He brought his legs down from the desk and watched her leave. At least that was that so he called Anubis air to confirm reservations for a flight near dawn. Now the toughest part came which was to go fetch Sookie and get her to come quietly with him.

He stood and grabbed his jacket and keys. If all went well Sookie would be packed and ready to go in a few hours, Pam wouldn't have packed the whole house for a few days trip and they would be up and on the air before sun up.
