Last Minute Vacation

Sam had arrived to the bar after seeing that Luna was beginning to feel better. He had to check with Sookie to make sure the books were in order and everything had been ordered and stocked. Entering through the back and checking his office, he found it empty. Heading into the restaurant and bar area he looked around and didn't see Sookie. Maybe she'd gone home for the night. Spotting Terry behind the bar he went over and leaned against the bar. -Hey, Terry. Have you seen Sookie? Did she go home for the night?-

Oh, no Sam. Sookie, uh...she...well that vampire Eric Northman came and took her to Vegas last night. She didn't look happy either.

He slammed his hand on the bar top and growled in his throat as all the patrons looked at him with wide eyes. -Dammit!- He said before heading for his office and grabbing some cash from his safe. He'd deposited the money in the bank already so he planned to use that for the plane ticket. Sookie was yet again pulled into vampire business. Business in which she was ALWAYS put in danger, as they could care less on Sookie's best interest. Deciding he'd go and watch out for her making sure nothing bad happened, he knew he needed a cover just in case. Figuring it best to call Luna and see if she wanted to join him since her flu seemed to have gone away. Dialing her number as he headed into his trailer to pack a small bag. He heard her sweet voice pick up as he smiled, throwing clothes into a suitcase.

-Luna, hey love how you feeling?-

She had finally gotten over the bout of nausea that seemed to constantly be riding her ass, and had managed to eat some potato soup and a couple of pieces of cornbread when the phone rang. Hearing one of their favorite songs play when the phone rang, she smiled as she picked it up.

"Hey, babe. I'm good, just ate some soup and cornbread. How's the bar?" He sounded slightly worried, and as though he were doing something in a hurry. "What's going on?"

He continued to move around his trailer grabbing things and placing them in his suitcase. Grabbing his tooth brush and toothpaste and zipping it up before sitting on the bed and rubbing his forehead. -Well, it's last minute but I was thinking how about you and I get away for a night or two? Emma seems okay with Martha, then once we get back and you're still feeling good....we can bring her home? I know the last few months have been rough on you and all.- He suggested it as a get a way knowing she'd wonder why on earth he'd travel to Las Vegas for Sookie if he didn't have feelings for her. Luna could be jealous at times and he wanted to avoid that. He also contemplated if he should tell her where they were going before or after they were on the plane.

"Where are we going?" she asked as she slowly made her way to the bedroom closet and pulled out a suitcase. If he wanted to take her on a vacation, then who was she to complain? Lately she had been so cooped up in the house that she was going a little bit crazy. That had to be part of the reason she felt so terrible. She hadn't shifted, hadn't ran under the moonlight, since she had turned into Steve Newlin.

Started to dig through her drawers and sighed. "I don't know what to pack. How long will it take you to be here? You can help me." Closed her eyes and put a hand to her forehead before slowly sitting back on the bed as dizziness hit her like a ton of bricks.

-Are you positive you're feeling up to it, because if you're not I understand. I have an....errand to run while there but thought I'd take you along for some fun.- He grabbed his suitcase and headed outside, setting it down and locking the house up before opening the back door to his jeep and tossing the luggage in. -Well, I was going to surprise you but if you must know....Vegas?- He said almost afraid she'd flip her lid traveling so far. The next flight out left in an hour from Shreveport and they would land in approximately four and a half hours. He checked his watch. -I'll be there in twenty. Pack three days and two nights worth of clothes and supplies. Are you sure Martha won't mind?"

She nodded her head weakly, cleared her throat and took a small breath as the dizziness subsided. "I'm sure. I talked to Martha earlier and they are having a blast. Emma loves shifting now and they run under the moon all the time. And Vegas? Sure, sounds fun. I'll tr and have my stuff packed before you get here." Slowly stood from the bed and went back to packing, throwing in a couple of pieces of sexier lingerie just for kicks. They hadn't had sex in what felt like forever, so being in Vegas with no kids? She was hoping to get a little lucky.

"I will see you in 20. Be careful." She hung up the phone before he said anything else and quickly ran for the bathroom. So much for supper, she thought as she lost the remaining dinner that had been in her stomach.

When she was done, she stood and turned on the cool water in the sink, splashing her face quickly and looking in the mirror to make sure that she looked fine. She looked.... like she had just been sick. "Shit." Maybe he wouldn't notice. Quickly she went back to her room and finished packing before laying back on the bed. He'd be there in 10 minutes. She just needed a little bit of rest and she'd be better.

Sam looked at his phone as she hung up before letting him answer her after agreeing to come along. Shrugging it off as he slid his phone in his pocket and opened the driver side door, stepping in and sliding the key into the ignition. As the engine roared to life he put it in reverse and headed for Shreveport. Singing along with the radio as he drove down the highway. He was in a good mood, a little get a way for he and Luna AND he would be able to be in Vegas if anything would happen to Sookie.

As he pulled into her drive, he left the engine running so he could just get Luna and go before they missed their flight. It was still fairly early in the night, the sun had only set a few hours ago. Using her hide a key to open the door as he called out for her. -Luna? Baby? I'm here. You ready?- He called out as he walked through the house heading for her room. Only to find her laying on the bed. -Are you sure you're feeling better?-

She shot up, her eyes slightly red as she had actually fallen asleep. Gave him a small smile and nodded her head as she slowly moved off of the bed and walked over to him. "Yup! I'm great. Let's go." She needed to sit back down. If she could just make it to the jeep, she'd be fine.

She smiled at him again and grabbed her bag, moving as quickly as she could towards the front door. "I'm just excited to go to Vegas with you is all. We could use the vacation." Opened the front door and stepped out, a happy sigh coming from her when she saw the jeep was still running.

He smiled and took her hand in his, grabbed her bag from her other hand and headed for the jeep. She didn't look one hundred percent yet, but he trusted her. Maybe getting out would do her more good than bad. She locked up the house and he helped her into the passenger side of the jeep, before closing the door and heading over to the driver side. He slid in and looked over at her as he closed the door and buckled up. -Ready for Sin City?- He said as he began to back out of her drive.


--FIVE HOURS LATER--

The plane had landed safely. They slept some and talked some on the plane ride there. As the plane began to fly over the Vegas strip with all the lights, her eyes lit up with amazement. She'd never been to Nevada and neither had he. He stopped himself from going when things in his life were bad and he stole by using his gift to shift and never get caught. Fliers were all over the airport lobby talking about the grand opening of a new casino and hotel called the Red Dragon. If anything, Sookie would be there. Had to be. -How about we check this place out?-

She shrugged her shoulders and wrapped her arm around his waist, leaning on him so that she wouldn't fall over. She was tired, but didn't want to tell him that. "Sure, we could stop for a bit. Maybe have a drink or two. That might make me feel better, some sort of whiskey." Ohhhh, whiskey. Perfect cure to feeling like shit.

"Do we get a cab? Or is it close by? Do we walk?" She had no idea how things worked here in Vegas, but she was looking forward to learning.

He smiled and kissed her forehead, leaning down by her ear. -Then maybe later we can find some woods or something and go for a run.- Her perfume was driving him insane. It smelled so damn sexy on her and it felt like forever since he had made love to her. But her being sick made things different. It wasn't her fault not in the least. He looked around for someone to ask for directions. The woman behind the counter at the airport seemed to look nice enough.

-Excuse me, do you know how we could get to this place? Is it walking distance or where would I find a cab?-

He said as he showed the woman the flier. She smacked her gum and arched a brow. "You a vampire too? Don't look like one." Rolling her eyes as if she didn't want to know, she continued. "Yeah its just three blocks from here right across from the Bellagio hotel." He nodded and smiled. -Thank you.- Ignoring her vampire question realizing he must be in the right place. He even over heard her mumble under her breath "tourists" as he shook his head, smiled and grabbed Luna's hand. -We walk. See the sights.-

Stepping out into the sidewalk from the airport was like stepping into another world. Horns honking, people jaywalking, interesting looking and smelling people. It was an even batch of humans and vampires with a few animal smelling people. He didn't want to risk exposure by asking if they were shifters. Luna's face had been on every news channel so not bringing attention to themselves was best.

After forty five minutes of walking three blocks, three of the longest blocks he'd seen, they finally came upon the Red Dragon. They entered and spotted a bar as he grinned and suggested the get a drink or two. After having 7 shots of whiskey and three beers, Luna trailing behind him. They both giggled as she reminded him they needed a room. He grinned and wiggled a finger to her as she came closer. -Watch this.- Figuring it for old times he turned to Luna and told her to wait there. He slowly walked over to a man in business attire who smelled human. Bumping into him accidentally as he dropped his wallet. Sam swiftly grabbed it and smiled handing the man his coat back. -Come again, Mr. Jones.- Ah perfect, checking out. The clerk asked if he needed help and he shook his head no. Walking back over to Luna as he grinned showing her the wallet. -How about we room on Mr. Jones account? Yes? Wait until the next receptionist comes in for their shift. They took a seat on the plush couches and waited for the next shift. His lips trailing her neck as he wanted to have her right then and there. The alcohol making his words slur. She giggled and moaned into his ear making it worse. He spotted the next receptionist after an hour and grabbed her hand. -Ready Miss. Jones?-

He cooly went to the desk and opened the wallet grabbing the Master card and handing it to the woman. -One king size bed suite please.- She typed away at the computer. -Oh, Mr. Jones. Welcome back. Such short notice.- He grinned and looked to Luna. -I decided to take my mistress here for a bit while the wife is out of town. I'm sure you'll keep this discreet.- He said in a charming way. The receptionist smiled and blushed slightly as she finished processing the information. -Here you go, Mr. Jones. Please have a wonderful stay.- He took the wallet back and grinned turning to Luna and placing a hand over her shoulders before calling over his shoulder. -Send up some wine and strawberries, will you Jill?-

She bit her lip and smiled coyly at the receptionist who was blushing profusely. She slowly slid her hand around his waist, then down to cup his ass, giving it a harsh pat before leaning in and licking his neck. "Strawberries. My favorite. Might want to add some chocolate to that, too." She met his gaze and growled low.

Jill just smiled at them and nodded, then they were off down the hallway towards their room. "I can't believe you just did that," she said with a giggle as they stumbled to the room. They got to the door and she took the key card from him, fighting to get the door open. "SUCCESS!" she cried out when the little light turned green and the door opened; she grinned at him and grabbed him by the lapel of his shirt, pulling him into the room and pushing him onto the couch that was in the sitting room.

"Mr. Jones, I believe it's been a bit since we've been acquainted. I missed you."She straddled his lap as he sat back on the couch and leaned in to kiss his neck, up to his jaw, then tugging his earlobe between her teeth. "What do you have planned for me?"

Sam smiled as she gave him the sexiest kiss while in the elevator. A chuckle escaped his lips as he realized the old woman who rode the elevator with them kept giving them disgusting glares. He cleared his throat as Luna turned to look behind her before smiling sweetly. The elevator stopped on their floor as they stumbled down the hall. She seemed to have recovered greatly since before. After a few times of him trying to get the key in the slot. -I can't get it in!- He said frustrated as she snatched the key and grinned. "Oh, you will." With a devious little look on her face as she opened the door, "SUCCESS!" She beamed as she grabbed him by the collar and pulled him into the room, as he quickly grabbed their bags and tossed them in the corner.

She pushed him down on the chair as she straddled his hips. Gods, his pants were so tight around his member. Begging for mercy to be released to relish in her sweet tight core. Breathing heavily as they kissed like two teenagers on prom night about to make love for the first time. She ripped open his shirt as he growled and pulled up on hers as she lifted her arms. His hands wrapping around her back, unclasping her bra with one hand as the other cupped her head kissing her. -Oh, gods Luna.- He said in between kisses.

"Mr. Jones, I believe it's been a bit since we've been acquainted. I missed you."She straddled his lap as he sat back on the couch and leaned in to kiss his neck, up to his jaw, then tugging his earlobe between her teeth. "What do you have planned for me?" He growled low in his throat and smiled. -Oh, Miss Jones, you've been a very very bad girl. And I'm gonna teach you a lesson.- She squealed as he stood and wrapped her legs around his waist. His pants fell to the floor as he heard a small tap. "Room ser-------vice." The bell boy stood there taking in the sight before him as Sam stood there throbbing, Luna topless and both smiling like goofballs. -Just uh, leave it right there and close the door will you?- Sam said before carrying Luna into the bedroom, singing to her.
