*she had gotten a call from Alcide, letting her know they had another rogue on their hands. Sighing into the phone, she jotted down the information, and listened as he told her the rogue was last seen on the outskirts of Shreveport, in the woods there. She nodded, even though he could not see her, and then spoke to him before hanging up*

Ok Alcide, I will get right on it, and if I am not back home before the new year begins, Happy New Year wolf, and remember I love you.

*she smiled when he told her he loved her and then hung up the phone. Knowing she couldn't shift in the city, she hopped into her truck and headed to the outskirts of town, where Alcide said the rogue was last seen. parking her truck in the trees, she climbed out, dropping her jeans, and pulling her tshirt over her head, shifting to her wolf form.

She began sniffing around, and sniffing the air, catching a hint of the rogue. Following the scent, she finally picked up a good trail on him. She followed the trail for miles, but seemed that he was going in circles, because she kept coming back to the same place. Picking up another trail, she followed it and searched for him. As she drew closer to the banks of a river, the scent got stronger, and stronger, then she heard a rustling in the undergrowth close to the rivers edge. Her nose in the air, she let out a low growl as a large grey wolf came out from the brush and bared his teeth at her. Crouching down, growling louder and baring her teeth at the male across from her, she watched as he jumped her. Jumping to the side, his front claws connected with her side, but she ignored the pain and blood and jumped at the grey wolf, her own claws connecting with the underside of his belly, blood pouring. He hesitated for a moment, and she struck again, her teeth going for his neck, hearing him gasp for breath, whimper, then shift back to his human form. There were deep gashes in his sides and stomach, where her claws had connected. Staying in wolf form, she bit down on his neck, his blood covering her, then letting go, and shifting to human form. Looking down at him, as he laid at her feet, gasping for breath and blood bubbling out of his mouth. He spoke to her but she couldn't make out what he said. Looking down at him, she spoke with authority in her voice*

By word of the Alpha Alcide Herveaux, Packpaster of the Shreveport pack, I was ordered to find you and mete out punishment for your crimes. You decided to go rogue and attack members of your own pack, and that is punishable by death.

*she watched as his breath became shallow, knowing he was dying, she turned to go to the river to wash the blood away, when all of a sudden, the rogue shifted one last time and attacked with his dying breath, raking his claws down her back and upper buttocks. Hissing at the sting and pain, she turned and grabbed the wolf, breaking his neck. Sitting there naked, her hands covered in bright red blood, unsure if it was his, or hers, she tried to breathe through the pain. Pushing slowly to her feet, she made it to the river, and stepped into the freezing water, washing the blood from her face, hands, back and body. Stepping out, she looked at the rogue, and shifted to her wolf form and in a slow lope, made her way back to her clothes and truck. Alcide wouldn't be happy she was hurt, but she would stop by and see Martha, and have her dress her wounds, wounds that would heal in a few days. Pain, blood, injury and death were parts of her job, and if Alcide didn't think she could handle it, he wouldn't have made her enforcer of the pack. That's the way of the wolf, your packmaster tells you to do something, as enforcer, then you do it.

She made it back to the truck, shifting and pulled her jeans and tshirt on. She could feel the blood soaking into the fabric and sticking to her back, but she would survive. She climbed into her truck, pulled out and headed back to Shreveport, stopping by Martha's on the way through, letting her dress her wounds for her, before heading back to hers and Alcides apartment.*
