    Darkness Empty Darkness

-she didn't know how long she had been there. A day? A week? It felt like years. She couldn't see; her eyes were swollen shut from the numerous punches and smacks that had come from Victor hours earlier. He had thrown her back into her 'room', as he so casually put it, about an hour ago. She was hungry, and thirsty, and most of all... she was weak from the blood that he had taken from her. 'Just a sip', had become numerous pulls. He had taken so much that she had blacked out, only to be awoken by his hand gripping her hair and pulling tightly as the other one collided with her cheek. The pain was so intense that she almost passed out again, but she had been slapped back to consciousness immediately.-

    Eric... Where are you?

-she knew she should have renewed that stupid blood bond with him. She knew that he had a reason for doing it and insisting they keep it strong, but she hated not feeling like herself, hated feeling just absolutely over the moon, never question him about anything. She wasn't that overly submissive woman. She did her own thing, felt her own feelings. But when it came to the blood bond it was all different. And she hated it. But of course you always think of 'what ifs' when you're in trouble, right? That's how it was with her. All she could think of was how she should have said yes, should have stayed at home like Eric had asked instead of going to work. She let out a sigh and leaned against the wall, every muscle in her body protesting the movement. Tears slid down her cheeks, causing her to wince as their saltiness slipped its way across the cuts that marred her face. She couldn't really speak, couldn't scream out for help; her throat hurt from the hours of screams brought on by Victor and his torturous ways. And that wasn't the end of it. She knew that he had more planned for her, knew that there was more to come. He was pissed that he hadn't gotten 'a piece' of her in Vegas, and had told her that someone would be down to help her shower and make her a bit more 'amenable' in a bit.-

    Please.

-her breathing came more quickly as she heard the creak of a door opening above her, the soft pitter-patter of feet slipping down the stairs. She couldn't see even the faintest of an outline, but she knew it had to be one of his glamoured blood-bags. It had to be. The woman whispered quietly to her as she helped her off the floor and lead her towards the stairs, murmuring soft words of how everything would be alright if she just did as Victor said. It didn't hurt as bad if you just did as you were told. She heard classical music playing quietly down the hall and shivers went down her spine. All she wanted was to go home. Home.-
