Kill Billith volume 3

Pam sat at the bar after closing, knowing Bill Compton was in the dungeon. Eric was due back at any moment and she pondered his reaction to the news. They had barely escaped with their lives in New Orleans as she shuddered the thought. Eric had said the problem had been taken care of as they all fled the Authority Headquarters. Rumors were flying through the vampire circuit of what would become of the "laws" and control over vampires. Eric went out of town for a large meeting with all sheriffs in the united states. A plan of what to do now that there was no authority, a time where humans feared vampires more than ever. Now, Billith was in the dungeon, she was certain he would lose it.

She could hear the car door slam as she stood and made her way around the bar, leaning against it. She waited for him to enter as she sent Tara away, knowing things could get ugly.

Eric trudged up into the bar. He looked tired, dark circles under his eyes. The smell of frustration and hunger were heavy in him. He closed the door and took a moment, leaning against the closed door.

After taking a moment he walked to the bar, reaching for a bottle of royal. He didn't even wait to heat it up, merely uncapped the bottle and drained it, grimacing at the nasty taste.

"Hows the bar been doing?" he asked, knowing Pam was there and knowing he didn't have to raise his voice for her to hear him.

She took in his mood, weighing in her mind how she should bring up Bill. The way he drained the cold royal blood made her wonder when the last time he fed had been. "It's been....going. Steady, no declines. Profits, minimum losses."

Pam heated him another blood and handed it to him. "How was the meeting??" She asked trying to get him relaxed maybe the blow wouldn't be so hard.

He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Painful... without the authority more and more states are going rogue. It's taking all of the older vampires to lay down the law but we've come up with a few overall rules" he said as he drained the second bottle, wiping his lips on the back of his hand.

"Whats eating you Pam? You know you're terrible at trying to hide things from me" he said calmly. He seriously didn't want to deal with any more shit right now but he better deal with whatever it was now than later.

Pam knew there would be no pussy-footing around with him, he knew there was something up. She nodded and began. "Bill's....here. In the dungeon..." She saw his immediate face change and held up a hand to silence him. "Before you go rambo would you just listen. I received a visit from a goddess. Yes, a real goddess. Her name is Clotho. I can summon her to human form if you don't believe me. You know it takes a lot for me to believe, so...Anyway, she claimed she could fix him. Personally, I could have cared less but..." She stared off into space for a moment thinking about why she did it before turning back to him.

"We were all in danger Eric. All of us. Tara, Sookie, you, me. I couldn't let him be loose and risk losing anyone I hold dear or you. Would you want him going after Sookie? I had to do something to protect us, all of us. She let him feed from her, claiming her blood would override Lilith, who by the way is a sick demi-goddess as she called her, is INSIDE of Bill. Her blood possessing him or some shit. So, he's here...chained and in some kind of detox rehab for stupid vampires who drink blood that they don't know what the hell it is." She said in her sarcastic tone.

He sighed, running his fingers through his hair. All this talk about gods and religion just made him want to go seclude himself back home and let everyone else deal with the shit. He couldn't fault Pam either. She was technically no longer bonded to him so she didn't have to obey his every rule.

"Very well Pam.. this is on you. Whatever happens, good or bad as result of bringing in this so called goddess is your responsibility. I cannot be cleaning up any more messes that have to do with this situation"

It struck a nerve at her that he had little faith in her judgement. "What the hell was I supposed to do Eric! Let us all be sitting, waiting for him to come here with his bloodlust?" She began to pace, literally dreading him to wake. It had been two nights tonight. He laid still both nights, dead to the world. She put all of her faith in the goddess, and if it didn't work, she'd stake him herself.

There was a noise below her feet as she stopped pacing and looked to him. "Guess it's showtime?"

Eric sighed "I would have hoped you would have let the only vampire here who HAS experienced Lillith's power to deal with it, but like I said this is now your responsibility. I have to deal with the rest of the country's vampires and try to at least keep the shit from hitting us and our bar" he said before he heard the noise.

"Well...I guess sleeping beauty is up... lets go see what new mess we have to deal with now"

Bill's eyes flickered opened as he was surrounded by utter darkness, his eyes fought to adjust to the darkness around him, feeling as though he was a newborn. He tried to move his arms, but felt a searing pain as his arms were locked to his side, as he was in-cased in think silver chains.

His hands clasped together, feeling the thin material that covered his legs, his memory still clouded as to how he had gotten there, unsure of where here was. He closed his eyes as he tried to remember the last thing he saw....blood.

He could still taste something sweet and sickly on his tongue, words echoed in his mind, although he could not make out what they were saying, all he could tell was that whoever it had been was feminine.

Using his fingers he tried to feel what was around him, wood. It was a coffin.

He closed his eyes as he tried to remember, anything, everything that would come to him. But nothing came to him, his mind was completely blank. His mouth was dry as he tried to find his voice, but yet he could not.

Trying to move his arms again, but as the silver chains brushed more against his bare skin, searing his skin, all he could smell was the burning of his skin as the chain burned deep into his arms.

He began trying to rock his body back and forth to try to shift the chains from his arms as they continued to burn his skin. Knocking into the confined space as the coffin rocked in its place.

Pam started for the door that led to the dungeon with Eric behind her. He looked slightly dismayed as they walked down the stairs. Stopping on the last step as she watched the coffin rock slightly. She could hear Bill grunting against the silver. Placing black gloves on she looked at Eric. "Whatever happens, just know I did it for you...I did it for us."

Slowly walking over to the coffin, her heels clicking on the cement floor as she stood next to the coffin and opened the lid. Bill wincing at the light that hit his eyes. "Morning sunshine" She said with a smirk and cocked brow, taking his face and actions in to see if he was Bill....or if he was Billith.

Eric said nothing. Pam meant well, he knew that but sometimes her timing was just bad. He saw the coffin rock and then Bill grunt when the lid was opened.

He'd brought over some royal blood while they came down, wondering if it was really Bill or if he was still that freaking looking Billith creature from before. Despite all their differences and their arguments over the years he still felt a connection with Bill. They had been two against the authority and they'd both nearly lost. If it hadn't been for such a considerate maker like Godric Eric perhaps would have also fallen like Bill.

"Well well your Majesty... you're not looking so regal right now"

The coffin lid craned open as the bright lights blinded his sight, his eyes barely able to remain open to see whom had relinquished him from the darkness that clouded him. How long had he been trapped in this coffin? Days? Weeks? Years?

Once his eyesight had re-adjusted to the bright light that hung from the ceiling above his coffin. Two shadowy figures had come into focus, one of whom seemed to call him by Majesty?

Was he a King?

Who was he?

Questions that he wanted to know, but he couldn't find himself able to find his own voice. He could smell his flesh burn from under the weight of the silver chains on his skin.

He had a vague familiarity of this place, but yet he could not seem to pinpoint it in his mind, his mind continued to swirl in circles. Faces of the man and woman before seemed to trigger in his mind, he sense that he had some history with them both, but yet none of that history could come to him.

She looked from Eric to Bill as she realized he looked like a lost child in the night. Not recognizing either of them. Well, he could be seriously acting and she wasn't willing to take the chance. "So, I assume you are ravenous correct?" Pam asked as she looked at the blood Eric held in his hands. "We can't just free you, not until we know for sure you....are you. Why do you look so confused?" She asked quirking a brow and tilting her head slowly. Was he playing innocent? Or was he seriously having amnesia.

He sighed. He wouldn't be surprised if said goddess Pam brought gave Bill a good case of amnesia. He had been down that road and if it hadn't been for Sookie he would have been screwed.

"Relax Pam..." he said as he approached the coffin. He was much older than Bill so even if he lashed out he could deal with it.

"Do you know who you are? your name?" he asked, seeing if he could get a base to where Bill stood before moving on with anything else.

Bill felt like a child that had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. His eyes crossed back and forth between the man and woman who peered at him, as he could hear no heart beat, drawing to the conclusion that they were also vampires. Trying to loosen the silver on his skin, caused him to growl out in pain as it continued to make contact with his bare flesh.

His senses were still not up to full strength as the man's words seemed disorientated to his ears. His eyes glanced at the woman next to him as her face seemed bored.

He tried to find his voice, as images seemed to flash through his mind as he tried to remember who in fact he was. Images of a young red haired girl came to his mind as she sat with her head on his shoulder.

Bill?

Was that his name? It was the only conclusion that he could come up with.

"Bill....She called me Bill"

Pam looked at Eric after Bill finally spoke. Folding her arms across her chest, not fully falling for the bullshit as she began to walk around the room as Eric spoke to him. She called him Bill....who did? His face so innocent, but she knew there was something dark within him urging to get out, to be freed. She had little patience, and Eric knew that.

She listened as Eric spoke calmly to him, knowing she couldn't do that. She wanted answers and now.

Eric nodded. He said nothing but suddenly he ripped off all the silver off Bill, ignoring that it burned his hands in the process.

"Alright... without that sapping your strength you should be able to recollect more... Pam...the blood" he said, holding out his hand for the bottle of royal.

If Bill was experiencing anything he had right now he was quite disoriented and hungry. He had wondered the streets for hours before Sookie had found him and by then he'd managed to piece together enough to know who he was and most of his past.

Bill had felt a release when the silver chains had been torn from his skin, a generous act from a man he knew to have a history with, but yet he could not yet figure it, parts of his memory still very hazy and un-recollected. Raising both his arm, his hands gripped both sides of the coffin to pull him into a sitting stance. The burns on his skin, rubbing against the shirt that covered his torso.

Images continued to flash through his mind, his mind unable to piece together everything, places he had been, people he had seen and grown to know. Flashes of a young red haired girl continued to flash through his mind, un-be-known as to why? He felt a strong connection to the girl, but yet everything still seemed so unclear to him.

After handing over the bottle of blood to Eric, she watched Bill sit up in the coffin and look around, thinking, confused. She continued to pace occasionally looking at his facial expressions. Maybe he was just what he said he was, and didn't remember. Or maybe, he was waiting until their guards were down. Either way she didn't have time to wait and find out, she wanted to know now. "What is the last thing you remember?"

Eric fought the urge to growl at Pam. She wasn't really helping Bill by asking him questions he couldn't answer right now. Instead he placed the bottle of warm blood in Bill's hand.

"Drink... it'll bring back your strength and help you remember" he said simply.

The pain on Bill's arms was causing him quite some discomfort as he tried to get himself comfortable, his sight had come back fully into focus and his hearing had adjusted better to every sound around him, their voices had become much clearer now.

The man had placed a bottle of what he smelled to be blood. He slowly raised the bottle to his lips, letting the liquid slide down his throat, unaware of the hunger that had been laying dormant within him.

His eyes fluttered as he continued to swallow the blood, the blood coating his mouth as he drained every single last drop of blood from the bottle. Not letting a single drop leave his mouth.

Pam watched as he drained the whole bottle in under a minute as she sped up the stairs and warmed three more bottles, rushing them back downstairs. It was better than him going on a rampage against humans or anyone else. She watched as he drank more, seeming to sate his hunger. She sat in the nearby chair and crossed her leg over the other waiting to see what they would do now.

Eric handed him more and more bottles of blood. Eventually they would have to let him feed from a donor but for now, he'd have to accept synthetic.

"Lets try again... do you know your name? who I am or where you are?" he asked, taking a step back and leaning against a concrete pillar.

More blood continued to glide down his throat, almost setting out the fire that he felt that continued to burn inside him. The blood helped, but he knew he would need more. His mind continuing to wonder as he took a fresh bottle of blood, gulping it as he focused on nothing but the blood.

After finishing the last bottle of warmed blood, he placed it on the concrete floor to which he was still sat in the coffin. The burning on his arms seemed to dim and it was now bearable.

He closed his eyes to try to regain some much needed focus as everything still seemed new to him, but yet it was not. The red hair girl continued to flash through his mind, he tried to focus on her smile as it comforted him. He had known this girl as felt able to relax a little.

Jess? Jessica?

"Jessica" the words mumbled out of his lips.

That name sounded awfully strange to him, but yet comforting. He turned to look at the man who now stood at his eye level. Bill seemed to feel a past history with him, but yet he could put a name to his face, he closed his eyes and tried to focus. Pictures were still quite hazy, and yet he could see the man's face in most of them. And most the things he remembered where of them both arguing, throwing insults back and forth at each other. A name continued to come to his mind, Eric? Eric Northman?

"Eric....Your name is Eric?"

Another image of a woman covered from head to toe in fresh blood seemed fresh in his mind. Who was this woman, her long flowing matted her saturated in blood. Her eyes captivating, almost entrancing to say the least.

With the mention of the name Jessica, Pam decided to excuse herself and call in the baby vamp to see if it helped her maker. This ought to be interesting to say the least. Ginger was in the supply closet as she headed for her office. "Don't go downstairs...at all. Ever...got it?" Ginger nodded and said "Yes, Miss Pam" She closed her office door and headed for the phone.
