She made her way down from her room to the lobby of the hotel. Dressed in a floor length black dress with sedate diamond jewelry she was as ready as she'd ever be for this party. Although she wasn't much for social functions, especially ones that were dominated by vampires she figured this would be a good opportunity to promote her business. Surely there were vampires who were curious as to where had Felipe gotten all the blood donors, including the rare half blooded and fae ones.
The limo was waiting for her and sooner than she cared for she was at the Red Dragon. She made her way inside, ignoring the looks that most of the vampires were giving her. Chances were that they could all smell she was a wolf, and like all vampires they felt she was beneath them in every way. Well, her wallet and business said otherwise and she had a feeling that soon enough they would all be acting a lot more politely towards her. With that thought in mind she walked in. Already things were at full swing. People were drinking and mingling and waiting for Felipe to show to ignagurate the gaming floor. She made her way towards a large marble pillar near the bar and appeared to be casually waiting.
After a short while Felipe made his grand entrance. He was followed by a vampire that considering he flanked Felipe and looked every bit as arrogant as the king; was Victor Madden. Felipe began making his speech and for a moment the casino was silent. Soon however he opened up the gaming floor and the party really began. It wasn't long before she was being approached by several prominent vampires who had heard from Felipe himself that she was the one who provided the special delights that they were feeding from. They raved about her products and she found herself handing out her business card to many of them. She smiled and acted polite, ignoring a few requests for more "private" introductions and turned down several drinks bought by men.
As the night wore on she felt a bit uneasy. She hadn't seen Bill since the incident in the elevator and she seriously hoped that if he was here they'd remain civil in public. Her unease finally made her accept a drink. A nice looking waitress brought her a drink on the house and it seemed harmless enough. Besides, as a wolf she had an unusual high tolerance for alcohol so surely one drink wouldn't do her any harm. She took a sip and was surprised at the full flavor of the wine. It was nice and smooth and left a fruity aftertaste.
