She nodded and felt anticipation and nerves growing. She could do this, right? She could...

"I...understand." She seemed hesitant but only because this was real now. He loaded her magazine and slid it into the gun, turning off the safety and handing it back. Placing her protective glasses on and earmuffs, she took the gun from him and realized it was way heavier than the dummy guns. She swallowed hard and said a small prayer for safety. She had never fired a gun before...ever.

Looking at the target, she stood feet shoulder width apart and aimed the gun just like before. Her finger rested on the trigger and slowly began to pull back, her grip on the gun tightening from fear. After she applied more pressure, the gun fired and she smiled as she replaced her finger on the trigger, bringing her index finger back to pull it again. She finished the clip and smiled triumphantly. It wasn't that bad. She could do this.

He waited for her to set the gun down and smiled.

"Very good. Continue to the second one now. Remember, this will have a bit more kick, so be ready for it."

She tensed as she held the gun with the new clip. One eye closed, she aimed and pulled the trigger back. The kick was a bit stronger and her wrists came back. She quickly recovered and aimed again, emptying the clip after a few minutes. She smiled, excited. "Wow, this feels great."

He grinned at her comment.

"Oh, it gets better. Go ahead and move on to the next clip. Remember, each one is a bit more powerful so be ready."

She inhaled slowly as she loaded the next clip. After she aimed and readied herself, she began to squeeze the trigger but released, blowing out a breath and closing her eyes. After a moment, she opened them and went back to slowly pulling it back. The gun fired and she wasn't ready for that kickback, stumbling a bit. She regained her stance and slowly and steadily unloaded the clip. It took longer since she kept getting hit off balance.

"Rochelle...you need to relax a little. That is what is throwing you off balance. You slowly squeeze the trigger like a stress ball. Pull back quick like you just did and it will throw off your aim."

He smiled.

"But you are doing fine. Go ahead and load the last clip. Remember that this will have more kick...the same as the gun you picked with real bullets. Go ahead and load it and give it a squeeze."

She nodded and tried to remember what he said. She was getting more and more nervous with each clip. The last one was more powerful but she feared the next. She loaded the next clip and forced a smile as she looked up at him, nervously turning, she rolled her neck and inhaled slowly. Letting go of her breath in a slow exhale, she aimed the gun and held it right. Placing her arms right and closing one eye, she began to pull the trigger back.

She hadn't realized how far she pulled back with the shot fired and rang out in her ears. It startled her and she shrieked loudly, quickly dropping the gun to the counter and stepping back, her back pressing against the wall of their stall. She shook her head no and removed her ear muffs, "No, no, no I can't do it...that...no it was...I can't."

He stifled a laugh and walked over to her. He wrapped his arms around her and whispered in her ear.

"Rochelle.....listen to my voice. You can do this. Think about all you have already done today. Think about how good the gun feels in your hands. Think about how nice it feels when you feel that release. Think how it will feel to shoot your own gun. You can do this."

He reached over and picked up her ear protection, placing it on her head and looked in her eyes. He turned her downrange and stepped behind her, letting her feel him pressed to her back. He reached his arms around her, kissing the back of her neck. He took her hands in his and led her to the gun. He held her hands there until she picked it up and aimed it down range. His hands over hers, he tapped her hand with a finger.

She inhaled sharply and went to protest when he turned her to face the target again. She gulped and felt him press against her more, pinning her against the counter. All brain activity ceased to function at this point and her eyes fluttered closed. She felt him kissing her neck and her mouth slightly parted. She opened her eyes when he took her hands in his and placed them on the gun. She hesitated but picked it up and he aimed her downrange. His hands covered hers and tapped with a finger to indicate to shoot.

She froze for a moment, closing her eyes as she heard his voice in her head. Rochelle, you can do this...

She mouthed the words, 'I can do this,' opened her eyes and aimed. With his hands above hers, she slowly pulled the trigger to her, applying pressure as it shot and her hands jerked up slightly but he held them so they didn't kick back as bad. She grinned when it was over and let out a relieved chuckle, firing again and again until the rounds were out. She set the gun down, took her ear muffs off and turned in his arms, an excited smile on her face.

"I did it...we did it. We make a great team..." She smiled and without thought, wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down to her lips to kiss him heatedly.

Her kiss caught him off guard and he smiled into it. He wrapped his arms around her tighter, pushing her up against the counter as he lingered in that kiss. He looked into her eyes and could see the effect this was having on her. He grinned as he pulled back and whispered to her.

"That was....wow."

He took a breath and smiled again.

"One more level...this time with your own guns. Trust me...it is a whole new rush of a feeling."

He moved over and began loading live rounds into her magazines. When he was done, he pulled her next to him, pointing downrange. He kissed the curve of her neck and whispered in her ear.

"You're going to love this. You are shooting your own guns this time. No need to wait. Empty one, drop the magazine and reload. Empty all four clips. I'm going to enjoy watching you this time. Have fun with it, but remember that these are live rounds. You do not turn away from the range until the slide is locked back and the gun is on the counter."

He backed off, smiling as she stepped into place.

She slowly let her arms fall and grinned triumphantly because she seemed to have taken his breath away. She really liked kissing him, okay more than liked. She was right, he was yummy. Very yummy. His next challenge, she nodded and listened to his instruction. "Maybe...a kiss for good luck?" She giggled and he kissed her once more, causing her to bite her bottom lip as he stepped back to watch her. He was watching her with such heat in his eyes...or was she imagining it. She might be imagining it. Whatever this was, it was causing her to feel more confident and...guiltily...aroused.

She cleared her throat, lifted her chin and got into position again. Aiming downrange, she adjusted her arms and fired the first clip. Slowly taking it out, she put in the second and repeated the process. She became focused and felt confident, more than ever before. Pressing her thumb against the clip release, it fell and she never took her eyes from the target as she reloaded the third and fired. Most of her shots going in center mass, repeating the quick reload process, she aimed again and made sure her sight alignment was on point before firing. After the gun was empty and the chamber was back, she slowly lowered the gun and smiled at her progress. She felt rejuvenated and fresh, sore...but fresh. She reeked of gunpowder, but she felt like she actually learned a new skill.

She turned to face him and smiled. "Well...how was that?" She asked eagerly.

As she went from clip to clip, he could see her relaxing more and enjoying it more. Was he wrong to find this almost a kind of foreplay? Gods she looked good standing there. The building confidence was definitely having an effect on her self image. He liked to see that. When she finished, and at the level she hit...he was speechless for a minute after she turned to him.

"Well...how was that?"

"Incredible, Rochelle...simply incredible..."

He stepped forward, not quite as close as before but close enough. He leaned in and kissed her again, the smell of the gunpowder in her hair only adding to the memory. As she melted against him, he held her hips and pulled back a bit, looking in her eyes. They seemed to hold the same heat as his own. He smiled and whispered to her.

"Well now....what would you like to do next?"

Her smile grew more, reaching her eyes. She felt so proud and so confident, and she didn't hurt anyone! It made her giddy and when he kissed her again, she looked at him with that look in her eyes that she wasn't intentionally giving him. This experience for some reason, had turned her on. She lifted her shirt slightly, unhooking the clasps and setting the holster on the counter as she thought about his question. She looked around and grinned, tapping her chin for a moment.

Looking back up at him, she smirked and shrugged. "I'd like to get this gunpowder smell off of me...and I certainly can't shower here..." She chuckled and fixed the lapel on his jacket then stepped closer. "After all this excitement, I'm ready for a quiet night in back at the hotel. I brought Dirty Dancing..." She said with a sly grin. Oh she loved Patrick Swayze and the way he moved...Jiminy Crickets she was in for a long, long....night.

As she walked with him to the car, she did want to ask him a question but refrained. Why is firing a gun such a turn on? As she thought it to herself, she looked over at him before sliding into the car, grinning like she had a secret.

He caught her as she walked toward the car, handing her they keys.

"I'll be there in just a moment. Do me a favor an pop the trunk."

He walked back inside then came out a few minutes later with a small box. He set it in the trunk and climbed in. He leaned over, pulling her into a deep kiss. When their lips parted, he smiled at her and started the car. Back to the hotel...who knew what tonight would bring.
