Coming Home Alone Empty Coming Home Alone

Post by Bill Compton Sat Mar 22, 2014 12:31 pm

Every inch of Bill Compton ached to the point that he believed himself to be suffering the burns of the blazing sun over and over in his mind. An illusion that his mind tricked him into believing that he could be okay. But Bill knew that it was impossible, not now that she was gone. Bill had tried to find her after she had left Vermont but what was there to find? A broken love that had been shattered by a foolish mistake on his part. He had so desperately wanted to make sure that Kiara had everything that she wanted, everything that she ever needed from him. But in the end he had lost he because of his mistake.

The private jet provided for him on behalf of Anubis Airline was still in flight and would soon be approaching Shreveport. It would be returning him back to a place, to a home filled with memories that he would not be able to forget. He would remember every single last one of them, they would taunt him to the point of destruction. But she was gone, there was nothing that he could do. He had tried to call her but it had gone straight to voice-mail. He did not want to leave a message to beg her to call him, he needed to see her in person.

"Your Majesty? We have some news on Miss Griffen" a young woman who worked for Anubis shook Bill from his frozen state.

Bill raised his head from the palm of his hand, the imprint of his hand marked on his cheek as he raised his eyes to meet the face of the young woman.

    "....Proceed" Bill ordered.

"We sent someone to the house as you asked and they found this" she answered politely back handing a brown file to Bill.

Bill accepted the file and dismissed her from his sight as he wished to remain alone. He opened the file and glanced at its contents. Kiara's home was up for sale and under offer and there was no forwarding address. Not wanting to read any more of it he tossed the file to the floor, he had to fight back his red rimming eyes. He had truly lost her, he could feel the jet beginning to descend as it now drew close to Shreveport. Soon it would be back to the mansion where all his memories lay, he had lost Kiara and that was something that he would never forgive himself for.
