The blood supply from Queen Constance had helped matters around the manor but occasionally she found herself worrying about what would happen if and when that ran out. For now, things were okay and there was blood. Bill insisted there was enough if they used it sparingly to make it last. So she only ate when she was starving. She heard Arlene had bought Merlotte's and wondered if she'd still have a job. Her to-do list consisted of asking about said job, apologizing to Andy about his daughters and making it up to James. Lately she hadn't been in the best of moods because of her hunger and guilt, and she had taken it out on him.

She saw him laying in bed reading a book, no shirt on. Smiling softly, she exited the bathroom and padded across the carpet. The towel wrapped around her was the only thing she had on. Pulling her damp hair to the side, she began to brush it out as she took a seat in the corner.

"Good book?" He finally looked up and smiled at her, causing her to smile more too. In the blink of an eye, he was before her and she looked up at him, tsking. She shook her head and wiggled her finger at him as she spoke. "We must save our strength...a wise man once said--" He kissed her and silenced her. She smiled against his lips and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down into the loveseat with her.
