It felt like being punched in the stomach ,being released but it was done .She was free, finally free .What that means she really hadn’t thought it through ,she actually didn’t believe Eric would do it but he did .She was free to be her own woman ,free to think for herself to be herself ,freedom is what she wanted and it is what she got .
But now what ,what was she going to do with her freedom she hadn’t the slightest idea but knew there were a few things that needed attention right away.She felt like she had to help Lettie Mae but how .After being stabbed she knew Lettie Mae was in a seriously bad place and needed some help .She decided she was going to try and talk with the Reverend and maybe they can figure out something together . With the danger from the infected being far from over she had to be ready to fight for the town,that much she knew. .But what to do in the mean time she had asked Arlene for a job to keep her busy but Arlene was so drunk Willa wonders if she will remember .She had to go home and take care of the furries they have been neglected since all hell broke loose that was first on her list .There was no way she was going to let the furries lack for anything now that Tara was gone ,the pups were going to miss her so much .
As she drove to the home that she and Tara shared she started to wonder what her sister would think about her new found freedom ..
“She would have been so proud of me standing up to Pam and Eric ..saying what needed to be said ...Telling them what we had talked so many nights about ...I did it sister ...I finally told them ...and I am finally free ...” she says into the night.
Driving into the drive way she heard the barking even before she got out of the car and it put a smile on her face .She got up to the door and the pups were going crazy jumping and barking inside of the door.Once she opened it they came running and jumping out all over her licking her hands and legs .She looked intothe house and saw Miss Meow sitting like a little princess in the hallway waiting for Willa to come in and give her greetings well away from the energetic pups.Willa let the pups out back and picked up Miss Meow and gave her a big hug and scratch on the neck .Even though she was home earlier to change for the party she really didn’t spend any time with the furies .She went around the house to make sure there were no accidents ,filled water and food bowels and laid out new beds for everyone .She called the pups in and picked out a movie and got on the couch with her favorite blanket .First the pups came to join her then Miss Meow found her spot ,she turned on the movie and snuggled in to the couch .So the rest of the night would be cuddle time with the babies and they all were looking forward to it .
