Just A Moment

Running his hands through his dampened hair as the steaming hot water sprayed from the metallic head that hung loosely above his head. The sudden shock making him tense his muscles. It had been another long day at the office and all Blake was looking forward too was a long relaxing shower. Soap suds trickled down his forearms tickling the loose hairs on their way down. Pinching the bridge of his nose he sighed, this was not a day that he was looking forward too.

Blake had always wanted the simple life, to enjoy the finer things that he earned and what was not handed to him on a plate by his father's wealth. Of course having everything that he ever wanted was both a blessing and a curse. He wanted nothing more than to settle down with the right woman and have a few kids, but with his father whispering demands in his ear it was not possible.

With his father William Harding on the verge of retiring in the next few years he wanted to make sure that Blake was ready to take over the family business. Running Harding Law was always something that Blake aspired to do, but not so soon. He wanted to explore more, do things that he wanted to do and not constantly follow in his father's footsteps.

His mother understood, but even she could not change his father's mind once it was set in stone. Hearing his phone ring, Blake turned off the shower and grabbed a towel from outside the shower screen. Draping it around his waist he padded towards his bedroom, grabbing his phone he did not bother to see who it was "Harding"

Finn slouched in bed, his head pounding. Glancing to the girl who was asleep next to him a grin spread across his face. Finn had broken off from the family business route and instead was enjoying the life that bring in college brought him, every single night.

Another night that he would remember, picking up his phone he hit dial to call his elder brother Blake. Hearing a disgruntled voice on the other end he laughed "Harding, chill brother it's me. What's with the whole Harding thing, god you're starting to sound like dad" he laughed.

A smile slid across his face, Finn. "Well you know father instructs that I act professional at all times brother. Even if that includes my day off" he chuckled.

Moving across his room he perched himself on the edge of his bed, grabbing a smaller towel he draped it over his shoulders to catch any droplets of water "So what can I do for you Finn? I am guessing that you are calling for a reason?" he asked blatantly.

Blake knew very well how his brother worked, ever since he had told their father that he did not want to join the family business he had been told to earn his own living and not rely on him any more.

"You know me so well Blake" he mocked with a grin.

Hearing the girl stir next to him as she groaned in her sleep, instantly making him hard. Attempting to keep himself under control he focussed on his phone call.

"I am kinda short this month, my rent is due next week" he end knowing his brother would finish his sentence.

Blake sighed. "And you need a loan? Finn why don't you just speak to father? Tell him you will think about joining the family business. Lie to him if you have to" he suggested.

All Finn had to was swallow his pride and speak to their father, it was that simple. But Blake knew that it wouldn't happen.

"Fine. How much you need?"

"$1000" he blurted out.

Finn was behind in his rent and he was not about to go running to his dad for money, he knew Blake would always bail him out, no matter what.

"You know you will get it back, soon"

"$1000? What have you been doing over there? Ever heard of getting a job? Surely London has plenty of places?" he spoke into his phone.

Only his brother would decide to go to college over in the UK until he got bored and came crawling back.

"I will have it transferred by this afternoon, and don't tell father. I would rather not have another 'he needs to grow up' speech again" he grumbled knowing that is how it would go.

"Thanks bro, I owe you" he grinned.

Glancing to the side he could not stop himself from becoming hard as the girl that he had brought home had woken up and was grinning ear to ear and licking her lips.

"Yeah, you owe me a $1000" he chuckled.

Running his hand through his hair he glanced at the clock on his bedroom wall, he was late. He was meant to be meeting a friend for lunch.

"Listen Finn, talk to father. Be the bigger man. I gotta go, speak to you later" he ended the call, tossing his phone onto the bed.

"See you later bro" he closed his phone and placed it on the bedside table next to his clock.

Turning in his bed with a grin he launched himself at the woman whose name he could not even remember "Where were we?" he groaned.
