Party Time

After a long relaxing soak in the swimming pool sized tub, which by the way had JETS, I went into my room in the white robe with Red Dragon Hotel symbol on the left bosom. I curled my hair in loose ringlets and applied my makeup. I had picked out the perfect dress to wear to the grande opening party and couldn't wait to put it on. In no time I was ready to go, but awful nervous about being around so many older vampires and making sure I make a good impression since Bill was King of Louisiana. I didn't want to embarrass him. I took one last look in the mirror and smiled. I hoped he liked my dress. It was one shoulder dark navy blue with midnight black sheer overlay. It was knee length and just made me feel sexy.

I walked out my room with my clutch to match as I smiled and looked around for Bill. He must still be in his room getting ready. "Bill, I'm ready when you are!" I called out to his closed door, wondering if he'd gotten over seeing Kiara the night before. I hoped it wouldn't interfere with his having a good time.

Bill was dreading tonight more than he could imagine, he had wanted to avoid another escapade with Victor Madden as he could only imagine what he would have had planned on behalf of Felipe De Castro. But as King of Louisiana he was required to make his presence known tonight as tonight would be seen as a way for all other regents to make alliances and seek out possible marriages for each king or queen too seek the biggest earner in each regent that had been required to attend. As Louisiana was doing well with its profits than it had been when Sophie Ann Leclercq had been reigning and with her many exquisite tastes and her avoidance of the tax man had diminished her accounts by a far amount which left him with nothing much to work with, but under his guidance Louisiana had regained it profits and was doing exceptionally well. But even tonight he could not help wonder as too why he had been invited, surely Felipe must have known about the demise of the Vampire Authority, with no Roman there was no way to restrain vampires from rebelling against the human population. But he had promised Jessica that he would try to help himself, he owed it to Jessica, he owed it to Kiara to try. Her scent still smelled fresh against his skin as he wanted to preserve it as much as he could as a reminder of their passionate encounter in the elevator, perhaps tonight they would see each other once again.

Dressed in black dress pants and a black dress jacket and a deep plum purple shirt, he had been ready over an hour ago and knew that Jessica would be much longer in getting ready, but he had wanted to re-assure her that all would be well tonight. At least he hoped and prayed it would be. With his eyes planted into one of the books that had been provided in the room for him, he didn't much care for it, but it was a way to pass the time waiting. Just as he got settled into his fifth chapter he heard Jessica call out for him.



Draining his glass of the Royal blend he stood and made his way into the lounge, and there stood Jessica in a blue and black shaded dress.

"You look amazing sweetheart" he smiled as he walked over towards her and kissed the side of her cheek as he was astounded by how much she had grown up into such a graceful and elegant woman.

I smiled when he kissed my cheek and looked down. "Aw thanks Bill." I palmed the front of my dress out of nervous habit as I sad jokingly. "Just something I had lying around." We both shared a laugh as he bent his arm offering it to me as I looped my arm in the crook of his elbow. I couldn't wait to see the inside of a real casino. It was just one more experience for me that I would probably have never had if I'd stayed human. The elevator descended down to the first floor as I walked with Bill, since he knew where he was going. I'd heard the names King Felipe De Castro and Victor Madden, but never before met them. From Bill's facial expressions he didn't care for either of them much and I wondered why. Two men at the doors opened them revealing the casino entrance. My eyes went wide as I took in all the sites. It was colorful, loud, and bright. Slot machines, tables galore and people. Many people had came to this event. Bill and I were ushered to a VIP looking area and I took the glass of blood offered to me. Taking a sip, it tasted so good. I'd never tasted something so good. Before I knew it I'd downed that one and grabbed a second placing the empty glass on the tray passing me. "Bill, these are delicious!" I said offering him one.

"You look stunning sweetheart...shall we go?" as i bent my arm offering it to her as she looped it with my own as we made our way down to the ground floor to let the opening scene commence. As we walked slowly into the lift as it descended slowly to the ground floor. Tonight would feel like forever, Bill never had much patience for Victor or Felipe, but tonight he would put on a false face and smile, he would pretend to enjoy tonight. He would let Jessica have fun tonight, she had been burdened with so much in these last few months that she deserved this time. Tonight would be her time to let loose and enjoy the lifestyle that being King of Louisiana offered her. As the elevator stopped and he directed them both to a double set of doors that two men opened as they were now in the Red Dragon. It was loud, a little loud for him, bright lights flashing from all the slot machines, and the echoing laughter from everyone who sat at blackjack tables and the drumming heartbeats of several humans which made his mouth drool to the thought.

As he directed them to the VIP section they were greeted with a waiter who presented them with champagne flutes filled with blood and watched as Jessica drained her first glass and had opted for her second before turning to offer him a glass.

"Bill, these are delicious!" she beamed.

He nodded as he gracefully accepted the glass and he raised the glass to his lips as he sipped slowly on the blood and relinquishing the taste as he began to drain the glass as though the blood had made him more thirsty, he deposited the glass onto the waiter's tray and lifted another glass from the tray.

"The King spares no expense when it comes to his guests. I have never tasted such blood as fine as this. Its intoxicating" as he raised the glass to his lips once again.

I smiled and nodded agreeing with him, this particular blood was NOT TruBlood. It was far from tasting like ass. Clinking our glasses and toasting to a great night as we sipped the blood. Two gentleman approached us as I watched with wonder who they were. They introduced themselves as King Felipe De Castro and Victor Madden. Both were sexy looking business men. I smiled as Bill introduced me as his progeny in a very King like sounding tone. It made me beam a little more at his power. Bill was coming back. Sipping my drink almost finished with that glass as the King took my hand in his and kissed my knuckles. I looked at Bill with wide eyes and felt I should act respectful. "Oh, Mr. De Castro, you're too kind." He grinned and said, "Only for a beautiful woman such as yourself, Miss Hamby." I thought I'd die from blushing if that were possible. He just called me beautiful AND a woman. Oh my stars. Victor smiled and handed me a new glass of blood taking my empty one as I thanked him. I let out a shy giggle before answering the king. "It's pleased to meet you." I said and wondered if I should bow? He was royalty.

Bill continued to drain his second glass of the blood and slid it onto a table as he had been offered his third as he was just about to raise it to his lips, he spotted Felipe De Castro and Victor Madden approaching them slowly, this was all he needed was quizzing, tonight above all nights. As he took one last mouthful of the blood as he noticed the gleam in Victor's eyes, and that Felipe was the same as always, an ass.

"Bill...Such a pleasure too see you" Felipe offered his hand to Bill as he politely shook "I believe you know my second Victor"

"Yes we had the privilege of meeting last night. Its good to see you again" as though he was egging Bill on, but he persevered through.

"Thank you for the invite, i must say this is quite an establishment. Oh and may i introduce you to my progeny Jessica Hamby. Jessica this is Felipe De Castro the King of Nevada, and this is Victor Madden, his second in command" he watched as they all introduced themselves as he sipped quietly on his blood which seemed to be drawing him more to the taste than what was happening around him.

"So Felipe may I ask why this big event? You have never done one such like this for your ours?" Bill quizzed.

"Good question my dear friend. I felt it was time to meet all the new kings and queens, plus you know a vampire never refused such a gathering by the King of Nevada" he winked at Jessica.

I listened to them talk kings and queens and just stood there smiling looking pretty. After a while of talking they excused themselves and headed off to the direction of some other vampire party. I took out the tickets from my clutch and showed Bill. "Would you want to go see a Magic show? Says Magic Mike so I guess that's the magician's name, anyway I always wanted to see a Vegas magic show those are so huge. They can make an elephant disappear!" I said a little more enthusiastically as normal. I felt odd. Like the time I'd drank that peppermint schnapps and got drunk with my friend Becky in ninth grade. He read the tickets and smiled, handing them back. "No thank you sweetheart, I'll pass. But you go and have fun. I must stay here and do king duties." I smiled and nodded. "Thanks Bill. Meet you back at the room later?" He kissed my cheek and nodded as I downed the rest of my drink and felt my head become light. What an interesting feeling, maybe the blood had vodka in it or something. I headed off through the crowd looking for the right place where the show was. Tonight was going to be great!
