She wiped down the top of the table, distracted by the songs playing on the jukebox. Lafayette was cleaning the kitchen and James was on the other end of the bar lifting chairs for her to mop. It was close and the night had been quiet. Arlene had come in for a bit, and then disappeared with a very loud, excited whoop! She wondered what happened, but knew Arlene still required space from vampires.
Sam told them all to keep an eye out for vampires with odd complexion and black defined veins. It was still on her mind, all the events of Isabel and how she acted. Bill hadn't said anything and really, she hadn't seen him around. She'd been taking extra shifts lately to help Sam out from being so short handed. It was nice to have James here as security, and did he ever look good in his uniform.
She looked up and smiled softly at him as she caught his eye. She couldn't help smiling around him really. He just made her happy. Happier than she's been in a long while. She looked away from him, going back to work. Their playful flirty stares kept the night interesting, but made her want to skip refilling the ketchup and salt.
"Some hot piece-a man meat you got your eye on honey chile" She blinked and looked over to see Lafayette behind the bar, speaking loud enough for her hearing to pick it up. She smiled bigger and wiggled her brows at Lafayette. "You have no idea..." She giggled and poured more salt.
