Bill knew that this quiet period could only go on for so long, it was the calm before the storm. Tomorrow night there would be six hungry vampire Sheriff vampires in his home and he could not accommodate them with blood or nourishment. He could not even provide blood for himself and he was already starting to feel it. The blood that Jessica's young male vampire friend had acquired had not filled him enough to keep his head level for long.
Drumming his fingers along the desk edge, his attempt at trying to curb the cravings that were brewing deep down inside of him. With Sam's suggestion stirring in the back of his mind it seemed to be more plausible to him with each passing moment. Bill could not take the risk that his human staff may infected, but there was only so much that he could do. He never believed in one moment that he would supporting Merlotte in this plan, or any plan at all. But it seemed that they were both fighting for what was best for this town. Bon Temps was his home and Bill would do anything to protect it and that included working with Merlotte.
With the news that the mayor of Bon Temps had passed away it left the town without a leader, with no one to guide them. A brief thought passed through his mind that led him to Sam Merlotte. If this plan was going to work, he needed to speak to Sam. Reaching for his cell he quickly dialled a number and placed the phone to his ear.
"Merlotte. It's Bill Compton. We need to speak urgently"
