God Is A Good Man

Jason Stackhouse put his foot to the gas as Kenya complained next to him that he was driving too slow again. He hated being partnered with Kenya because all she did was complain about either his driving skills or the way that his head worked. Jason was smart and he knew that, Sookie told him all the time that he was smart.

"For the last time Kenya! I ain't god dammed Andy Bellefleur!" he snapped.

This was the last time that Kenya ever took over another shift for Andy Bellefleur, it was the fourth time this month. Giving another lame ass excuse that he was sick, more like drunk.

"Stackhouse if we want to get there this year put your foot down" she growled at him.

Andy Bellefleur was going to pay for this...Big!

"I ain't getting arrested for driving over the limit Kenya....I don't want to loose my job. It's all I got" he snapped back at her.

He turned his attention back to the road as he drove through the cloaked area filled with tree's. It had been the second time in a week that they had been going to the same store.

'Good god could this boy be any more stupid!'

"Jason Stackhouse. You are a police officer. How in the hell are you going to get arrested for speeding?" she questioned him.

Andy Bellefleur.....There was no words to describe him right now.

"Andy says he will arrest me next time I speed Kenya...I ain't stupid" he laughed as he turned to face Kenya who was returning a look of 'Don't test me boy' as he quickly turned back to the road "What the hell?" as he leaned forward over the wheel.


"God...God is a good man...He don't hate fangs" he told Kenya.

"Mmmmm, God is man. All white folk think that God is a man. Why can't he be a woman? God hates fangs, god hates rednecks, god hates black folk who do a dammed better job at protecting the white folk better that the white folk do themselves" she counter attacked.

God...That was a topic never to talk to Kenya about unless you knew what the hell you were talking about.

Jason did not know what to say to that as he kept his mouth shut on what Kenya had just ranted at him. He knew better than to question anything that she said.

"But he is a woman...I guess. Like he created Adam and Eve...and he created apples and grass. He is like the creator of the whole planet. Like what they say on TV....There was a explosion like a fire cracker and then the world was just here...Then came the ocean filled with fish and dinosaur fish and stuff like that" he told her knowingly.

Kenya could not help but burst out laughing at what Jason had just said as she struggled to breathe as her laughing fit continued as it took hold of her.

"Good lord Stackhouse...How did you become a cop?" she laughed.

"Because I am good at me job...I got skills and a head" he sulked back at her.

Jason didn't care what Kenya said, he knew that she was just picking on him because she was a girl and Grams always taught him never to hit a woman....well he had failed her by doing what he did to Sookie.

But Jason knew that he was smart as he turned to Kenya.

"God is a man....A tall good looking man with a head" he nodded knowingly.
