Eavesdropping?... No... Just good hearing. Empty Eavesdropping?... No... Just good hearing.

"Your Majesty we have a follow up report on Victor Madden...We have several reports that Victor Madden has left several spies which have been located in Louisiana and we have had them all watched and nothing has arisen and caused alarm. But will continue to have continued to be monitored" the rough southern voice with a dry raspy tone replied into the phone.

Bill sighed heavily into his cell as he pressed it to his ear, he had been receiving daily reports on Victor Madden and his latest sightings. He had excused himself from Kiara as he had received this call, not wanting to bear anymore trauma on her. He had spent the day at Kiara's home in a light tight room that she had installed. Noticing that something had been of with Kiara, but assuming it to be that she was still recovering from her near death experience, and that she was still in a very fragile state, but remembering their sexual encounter the previous night.

"And what of Victor Madden? Any progress?" he spoke directly into his cell, trying to be direct to the point.

"Progress is as before sire, we have assembled a team to track the movements of Felipe De Castro, we are assuming Victor Madden acted out on his own, but we have a security detail following the King. You shall your reports on your desk by the end of the week your Majesty. We have included information that we researched on the spies that we have located and files shall be on your desk before the end of your week Sire"

"Good work..And keep me posted on any new updates" he spoke in more of a King like manner.

"Of course your Majesty" the deep southern voice replied back.

Bill had hit the 'end call' button on his cell, dropping it back into his jacket pocket. He would have the files on Victor's spies that he had left behind in Louisiana, he would have it the information faxed over to Eric Northman so that he could arrange a meeting to discuss their options. But with this 'event' that Pam and Eric had organized at Fangtasia, also hearing rumors that 'Bubba' was making an appearance. He had no quarrels with Bubba, or his taste in feeding habits. Assuming that Pam or Eric would have had to pull some serious strings to have him here in Louisiana, and under state law 'Bubba' was protected and special and not be harmed by any under Bill's Kingdom.

It had been an hour after sunset, he had greeted Kiara before he had excused himself for the private call, not having time to pick up a bottle of True Blood before excusing himself outside. Waiting a moment to calm himself down, Victor Madden always had a way of making his blood boil, and even now more than ever. Catching a whisper of voices that traveled to his ears, the sweet angelic voice of Kiara, and he found himself curious whom she was speaking too. Inching closer to the door to distinguish the other voice he heard Jessica.....Jessica was here. Oblivious to the fact that he was also here, which meant that she did not know that Bill was here.

Peering in closer to catch their conversation.

But if it's real love you'd see yourself spending time with that person, outside of the bedroom too. You'd feel happy just being with them, hanging out. And most importantly, you'd be willing to lay down your life for them. You stop caring about your happiness and your needs and worry more about theirs. THAT right there, is true love

He listened to Kiara talk about 'love', was it true that Jessica believed herself to be 'in love' with the tiger? He had never really given her the chance to explain how she felt about Quinn, or about how she was feeling...in general. He had once believed that becoming a Maker was a curse, a curse upon himself, and upon the progeny. But he was wrong, having Jessica as a progeny showed him more about himself that he believed to have died the night Lorena made him against his will. But he also listened to Kiara, did she still harbor some feelings towards Quinn? Or was she talking about him and how she felt about him?

"Afraid....you're not good enough because they deserve better. They deserve someone who'll grow old with em', someone who can....who can give them children."

Children...Feeling a pang in his chest at his progeny's mention of having children. It pained him knowing that he had taken that right away from her. Knowing that no matter how much she would have wanted a child, she was unable to. The closest thing that she would ever have to a child would be if she became a Maker herself. He could vividly picture a small child, as beautiful as Jessica clear in his mind.

It was then he realized that his progeny had grown up, she had been forced to grow up, and he was not there to witness it. She had blossomed into someone that he had refused too see. Maybe he more in common with Lorena that he ever imagined. It was at times like this he missed Judith.

"You're right Kiara. I just don't...I don't know how to talk to him anymore. He doesn't understand me and everything blows up into a huge fight with him."

It was true he had to admit that, he was blinded by such rage and anger that he had never exposed before, he had never expressed such anger and that scared him to his core. He had failed to listen to his progeny. What had he become? Feeling his eyes become heavy, his blood tears threatening to spill from his eyes. He had failed as a Maker, but hearing how Kiara defended him, made him lighthearted knowing that after everything that he had put her through. She still spoke very highly of him.

"The last time he raised children you weren't even a twinkle in your granddaddy's eye. He's old fashioned and you're still a teenager in a sense"

It had been many years since he had thought about his human children, his daughter Sarah pleading with him to help him, bed-bound and dying of cancer. He had failed as a human father, leaving to go and fight in the war, having his children and his wife Caroline believe that he had died in the war, believing it would have been best that way. He had no real experience in raising children, and considering Jessica as his 'daughter' was the closest thing that he had come to as being a father to her.

Tell him to meet me at the Manor tomorrow at sun set.

Jessica wanted too see him, too talk about them. Maybe this is the chance that he needed to prove himself of a worthy Maker, to be what he once was. The vampire that Kiara had fallen in love with, the Maker that Jessica deserved and had grown to love. The King of Louisiana that had become. This was his chance to become the man that he believed himself too be.

But would he explain about what he had heard?

    Eavesdropping?...No...Just Good Hearing.
